VHP questions the ATS silence on threat to the life of judges who delivered Ayodhya verdict ?
VHP patron Shri Ashok Singhal has questioned the silence of ATS on threat to the life of three judges, Justice (retd) Shri Dharamveer Sharma, Justice Shri Sudhir Agrawal and Justice Shri SU Khan, who delivered the verdict of Ayodhya case in September 2010. In a statement issued from Allahabad on January 25, Shri Singhal said the four SIMI and Indian Mujaheedins associated terrorists in Gwalior revealed on June 5, 2011 about the plot to kill the three judges who delivered the verdict in Ayodhya case and also all the advocates who fought for Sri Ramlala. “Surprisingly, even after getting this information on June 5, 2011, the ATS informed the Registrar of Allahabad High Court about it only on January 3, 2012 and the Registrar dispatched it to the judges concerned on January 8. The matter which worries the most is the delay in supplying this information. If the terrorists target the judges, the entire judicial system will be crippled. It is a very serious matter which should not be taken lightly,” Shri Singhal said. He also asked the Government of India to tell the nation as to what steps it has taken for the security of the judges and the advocates.
