I would not blame Bangladeshi Muslims or Bangladesh government, for what is happening due to “Milan mela” (Friendship Fair) being organised in India by the Government of India. If we fail to understand the meanness of Bengali Muslims, whose fault it is? Bengali Muslims were the first and in the forefront to start large scale slaughter of the Hindus, specially in Kolkata and Naukhali, in August 1946, in response to “Direct Action’ call given by Jinnah and the Muslim League, for creation of Pakistan as homeland for the Muslims of India. The killings of Hindus and Sikhs in Punjab by the Muslims started several month later in early 1947. First question is, that, why Indira Gandhi liberated Bangladesh from the clutches of Pakistan? It was in the interest of India, to allow the West and East Pakistan to remain engaged in fighting with each other. Second question is that, why 97 per cent Buddhist Chakma Chittagong Hill Tract was given to Bangladesh, known for slaughtering the Hindus. Now those Chakmas are being forced to leave their homes and come to India as refugees. What Indian government is doing? Third question is, that why India did not kept some sort of Military control over Bangladesh and its foreign policy. As it is , Bangladesh is another Pakistan on the eastern side of India. If the Indian government is bent upon inviting trouble, by arranging friendship fair, whose fault it is? Bangladesh border must be completely sealed to ensure the safety of India.

BJP the net gainer in bypolls (Organiser, 30.10,11); The crushing defeat of the Congress Party led by Madam Sonia in recently concluded byelections to one Lok Sabha seat and six Assembly seats in some states can be said as an warning bell to the Congress. Prudent electorate of those constituency expressed their resentment by exercising their franchise against the Congress. Middle class and lower middle class have become desperate following sky rocketing prices of essential commodities. Congress led UPA government headed by eminent economist PM Dr Manmohan Singh has miserably failed to arrest the price rise. Indian currency has been loosing its value day by day. The common man has been experiencing great privation to meet the both ends. In democracy, ballot is more powerful than bullet. It is a major weapon in the hands of voters. If they desire they can change the government by ballot not by bullet. Congress Party, should learn a lession from it. National wealth is being plundered by the politicians in which Congress is a major partner. Electorate takes revenge through ballot when opportunity comes. Congress should think over it seriously and act accordingly for its survival in future.

UPA insincere to reclaim black money in foreign banks (Organiser, 23.10.11); This is with reference to the front page article “UPA insincere to reclaim black money in foreign banks. We support a strong Lokpal”, in your esteemed weekly. Ours is one of the most unfortunate country being ruled by foreigners since past 1,200 years. Earlier Muslims, then Britishers and now the Congress is ruling over us. Only names have changed but the policies and programmes are one and the same i.e exploitation and loot. Manmohan Singh who is our Prime Minister is a ‘Pet’ of Italian Sonia. He is there only for name sake. He is not only weak but also compromises with anti-national forces, personally not clean and heading one of the most dishonest governments in the history. The entire Congress culture survives by allowing foreigners and anti-national forces to loot and ruin India. Why UPA will work for reclaiming the black money kept in foreign banks by their own leaders and their forefathers namely. Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi, etc. The black money is the source of their political power. They are not fools to give up power for the sake of nation. Their policy is to ruin the nation for power and take cooperation from all those who can loot this nation and take some commission from them. I feel ashamed to find our Prime Minister behaving like a servant of Sonia Gandhi who is openly ruining India and Hinduism because neither she is an Indian nor a Hindu. Shame to puppet PM and every supporter and voter of Congress-I.

Sarsanghachalak condoles the death of pilgrims in Haridwar (Organiser, 20.11.11); The stampede in Haridwar that has killed 20 people so far doesn’t unfortunately, come as a surprise. Such tragic incidents inevitably repeat year after year at some pilgrimage spot or the other. And yet, the State and Central governments refuse to learn their lesson and establish adequate infrastructure and disaster management facilities to handle the lakhs of devotees.

Is this democracy? DIG Devendra Dutt Mishra a senior IPS officer who dared to speak against corruption in so-called Mayawatis’ riyasat (state) has been declared ‘mentally unstable’ on the basis of a report prepared by a psychiatrists. It shows how whistle blowers are treated in a country that boasts of being the largest democracy in the world. People in power have no hesitation in achieving their political motives by stooping to unthinkable levels. Attacking those who oppose Mayawati’s dictates has become a common practice in Uttar Pradesh. I felt very sorry after reading that Devendra Dutt Mishra who is a senior officer was forcibly admitted to a hospital and was charged with violation of service conduct rules because he dared to raise his voice against corruption. Where is Togore’s ideal India, “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high?”

Nobody is surprised, except the Congress The rout of the Congress in the recently held byelections, does not come as a surprise to anyone except the Congress leaders. They still believe that their party is invincible because of the charisma of the Gandhi family. The common factor in all the defeats is the disappointment of the people with the UPA’s non performance over issues like inflation, terrorism and corruption. The results are a wake-up call for the Congress. If it still does not see the writing on the wall and mends its ways it will be decimated completely. Further I want to say that one cannot give ‘Team Anna’ the credit for the defeat of the Congress because had the ‘Anna factor’ really worked, the margin victory would have been much more than which is being rejoiced at.

Courts are getting firmer A redeeming feature of the current crusade against corruption is that the country’s courts have been showing a lot of firmness in dealing with corruption cases pending before them. I am very happy to learn that recently the court refused to grant relief to Tamil Nadu Chief Minsiter J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate case. Earlier the Patiala House Court had refused to grant bail to the MP and daughter of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minsiter, Kanimozhi, currently in Jail for the 2G Spectrum Scam. Having failed to get bail, former Union Telecom Minister A Raja and number of powerful bureaucrats have been languishing behind the bars for the last several months. Also former MP and the chairman of the Commonwealth Games, Suresh Kalmadi is in jail and has not been granted bail. Again it is the Supreme Court which has been insisting on the CBI to thoroughly probe the disproportionate assets case against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

Hazarika music bridged the gap between regions Bhupen Hazarika’s success highlighted, in a paradoxical way, just how great the cultural void he filled was. By bringing the music of the north-east, he bridged—in one way, at least—the gulf that has been at the heart of so many of the regions’ problems. Hazarika’s voice may be stilled now, but hopefully that synthesis can continue after his death.

India is being looted under the guidance of Manmohan Singh India has had Prime Minister like Lal Bahadur Shastri who was known for qualities like integrity, simplicity and outstandingly clean image. But Dr Manmohan Singh is away from all such qualities. India also had Narasimha Rao known for his indecisiveness and inaction, but Dr Singh has outshined him too. He is the Prime Minister, under whom India has been looted for the first time by its own people. He heads a Cabinet of incompetent, corrupt and ridiculous Ministers. He now heads virtually squabbling, dysfunctional and paralysed administration. At a time when India desperately needs stable, strong and mature leadership, Dr Manmohan Singh is bent upon buying time with further indecisiveness and evasion.

A shock to Maoists from Mamata Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s seven day ultimatum to the Maoists to disarm—and preparations for an offensive if they don’t comply—shows that she is realising the dangers of putting security on the backburner. Bengal has become a haven for Maoists from neighbouring states. Development projects are a must to defang the Naxalites. But a sense of security is also required for such work to be carried out. We pray to God that the same type of sense should prevail in Manmohan Singh’s mind also.

BJP’s demand holds water The BJP delegation’s demand for imposition of President’s rule in the State of Manipur, holds water. It is shocking that Manipur is still cut-off due to the blockade of NH 39 and 53 by the Sardar Hills district Demand Committee. This also shows that the authorities in Imphal have completely failed to control the situation. Further, this indefinite economic blockade reflects the antipathy of the Union government towards the situation in the State, especially north-eastern states.

Manmohan’s anti-Advani jibe Manmohan Singh looks morally deficient after his anti-Advani jibe. He has deliberately mocked at the long established convention of the Indian PM being a popularly elected Member of the Lok Sabha. He has accused Advaniji by saying that, “Advaniji thinks that becoming the PM is his birth right”. Mr Singh forgets that he is the one who is clinging to his office despite repeated demand for his resignation.

Why Congress is hesitant? Come what may happen nobody in UPA has the power to hang Afzal or Abdul Kasab.
