Six crore for furnishing President’s car, Rs 32 for aam aadmi  per day It been rightly said that man is a ‘social animal’. If we remove this word ‘social’ then man is just an animal who is just bothered only about himself and nobody else. In a country where the Planning Commission has fixed the poverty line at Rs 32 a day for people living in urban areas and 26 for those living in rural areas, where people die of starvation the President, Pratibha Patil has been provided a Mercedes car costing rupees six crore. BJP national secretary Varun Gandhi has rightly said, “Colossal  extravagance of spending six crore on President’s car is laughable, if not tragic at a time when  aam aadmi is expected to live on Rs 32 a day.”

Attack on Dr Swamy This is with reference to “Is ‘Hindu Rashtra’ blasphemous?” (Organiser, 4.9.11) and Shri Subramanium Swamy’s article in DNA dated 16.7.2011. Shri Swamy has rightly stated that India should be declared a Hindu Rashtra and Muslims should accept their Hindu ancestry. This  highly infuriated  the Muslims all over India. Shri Wajahat Habibullah, the chairman of Minority Commission took the lead to frame charges against Shri Swamy for an attempt to disrupt the communal harmony. The point is, was there any provocation? Here first of all it is imperative to know Shri Subramanium Swamy.He is a Hindu married  to a Parsi woman, and their daughter is married to a Muslim boy. No more credentials of his being a secular needed. This must cool down Muslim communalists. When the matter regarding the Partition of India based on Two Nation Theory was being discussed threadbare between  the Congress and  the Muslim League, Gandhiji pleaded for the Hindu ancestry of Muslims to establish that they were not a different nation.  But after his unfortunate death Congress did not do much to bring Muslims in the main stream. The cardinal principle of Sarvadharmasambhav, which was the favourity slogan of Congress after Partition has been mired aside because of vote bank politics. The seeds of separatism are being sown again through the ministry of minorities, minority commission, minority educational institutions, funding of madrasas, Haj subsidy, minority financial institutions, minority reservations, and finally minority vote bank. This dangerous poly will have for reaching impact as it will never satisfy Muslims. Therefore, to counter this Shri Swamy has just revived Gandhiji’s idea that Muslims should  accept their Hindu ancestry to bring them in the main stream. It is the Gandhiji’s unfinished agenda. It should be the responsibility of Minority Commission that apart from looking into interest of minorities, must educate them Sarvadharmasambhav, and our common ancestry to achieve Gandhiji’s goal of Ramrajya. Seculars should think it seriously.

India unsafe under Manmohan (Organiser,18.9.2011); This is  with reference to Organiser’s front page article “India unsafe under Manmohan.” The article is timely and thought provoking. Sir you have given the caption to the front page photo  “Murder Most Foul”. I feel it should have been “Manmohan Most Foul”.  Earlier  the bombs were exploding at railway station, bus stops or some busy public place where government used to claim that it is not  possible to check individually every person and such unwanted incidences  may occur. But what about attack on the Parliament, bomb blast in  Delhi High Court (this being second with  in four months)? Being sane citizens we  understand that these are all gifts given  by UPA to their Islamic vote bank, since next election is nearing. Shame on treacherous Congress-I. In the article I feel ashamed to read the chart of “Major Blasts in City” but Manmohans are taking it as the necessity for their survival. The next chart shows “Status of Bomb Blast Probes”. We find that all the terrorist bomb blast cases are still  under investigation and they will remain  so as long  as UPA  is in power. Wherefrom these terrorists are receiving  so perfect training  and material? When Bangladesh based  Harkatul-Jehadi-Islami(HuJI) and Indian Mujahideen (IM) have claimed responsibility for the blast, for what the UPA government is waiting for? Why we don’t use “tit for tat” tactics and finish them in the same way? The reality is that these blast are the tools of survival for the UPA. They can keep on fooling the public that it should vote for them since the government  is trying its best to fight terrorism. I appeal to all the patriots  of the country to kick out these supporters of terrorists since we cannot directly do anything to liquidate HuJI and IM.

Government not able to restrain it’s babus The UPA government has created such a pathetic state of affairs in the country that now  the government’s diffidence in taking decisions is being seen even in seemingly routine matters. More than half a dozen ministries and departments have been without full-time secretaries for months. Even after getting into IAS people are not interested in joining the government. And those who are already working in government prefer to take VRS and join private sector  rather than to listen  to the dictates  of the illiterate UPA ministers. Among the ministries that  are secretaryless are the ministry  of health; information and broadcasting; information and technology, panchayati raj and youth affairs. The departments of public enterprises and drinking water too are without the top babus. Also  there is  currently no Provident Fund Commissioner or a regulator of the Competition Commission. A number PSUs are also headless. Among them Coal India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, MTNL and Punjab and Sindh Bank are without top heads for 15  months now. When there are no decision makers in the government how one can expect the  government to function.

Digital revolution in the country I am very happy to learn  about launching  of ‘Akash’ cheapest tablet PC at Rs 1,125 per unit for students. Popularly known as the ‘$35 Tablet’ it is an overwhelming sign of digital revolution in the country. It reminds me of the vision of former president of India,  APJ Abdul Kalam who mooted for  providing urban amenities to rural areas. India is still waiting for high-end technology. The need is to bring this digital divide through a laudable step like the recently introduced super-cheap tablet that brings internet to the door-steps of both urban and  rural masses. Akash comes with a respectable seven-inch screen, has 180 minutes worth of battery back-up and runs on  the Android 2.2 Froyo operating  system. It is also WiFi-enabled, has two USB ports, flaunts decent video-conferencing capabilities and has an expandable memory slots of upto 32 GB and 256 MB of RAM. I pray to God that ‘Akash’ must not come in the circle of corruption.

Go ahead, make my day Friends if you  have seen Clint Eastwood’s movie ‘Sudden Impact’, you must  be knowing  his world famous dialogue  “Go Ahead, make my day”. Well, in the wake of triple bomb blasts in Mumbai on July 13th, we hear ad nauseam, the prime minister, home minister and other pygmies issuing statements like, we will bring the perpetrators to justice, the long arms of law will catch them, we will continue relentless pursuit of terrorists, Government will use all its power to prevent another attack, etc, etc. The fanatic terrorists , hidden in the safe houses, under the nose of government, smirk in their sleeves and say arrogantly to the coward government of India, ‘Go ahead, make my day’.

No room for morality in Indian politics Politicians only work is to put allegations and counter allegations  on each other irrespective of their Party’s affiliation and demanding the resignation of each other. Frankly speaking they have  lost their credibility to utter the term ‘morality’ because it has been made mockery by them. They have been affronting morality by uttering this word. There is no room for morality in Indian politics. Really it is a matter of grave concern and deplorable for a country like India which has magnificent cultural and rich heritage. The term morality disappeared from the vocabulary of politicians long back. Only Almighty alone can  save such a country of disorder.

Sympathisers  of Afzal With the Supreme Court order of not passing any verdict on the Zakia Jafri’s petition, a very interesting political scenario has emerged in the Indian politics. This will have a definite bearing on the coming 2014 Lok Sabha elections in which Modi is likely to be Prime Ministerial candidate. Despite clear defeat, the Modi baiters are once again behaving as if nothing has happened and they are repeating the garbage. But it is very interesting to note that almost everybody who is campaigning against Modi, be it a media person or a politician, is a sympathiser of Afzal who is awaiting capital punishment for attack on Parliament in 2001. Both cases have been tried in the Supreme Court and there are clear facts known to everybody. The open campaign by sympathisers of Afzal against Modi is likely to boomerang and benefit Modi and BJP as the ongoing debate will expose the false propaganda.

Why oppose Gita? Recently I happened to be at Bengaluru, with my son, who is serving there. There were frequent news in the press about  the teaching of  Bhagwad Gita allowed by  the Karnataka government, in schools in arrangement with a muth. A petition was filed  not by any individual, but by Karnataka State Minorities (Muslims and Christians) Federation in the High Court, against the teaching  of Gita. The  High Court issued notice to the BJP ruled Karnataka government. As per report in the Times of India dated 20-8-2011, the Hon’ble court disposed off the petition after the clarification that the students interested may participate in it after school hours, without  conflict with academic curriculum. The circular does not compel students or teachers to participate. It was also explained that the scheme is not funded by the government.  Now following questions arise out of this episode:- One, the Hon’ble High Court has to follow the Constitution, and cannot be blamed for accepting the   petition against teaching of Gita. Two, therefore, it could be said that our Constitution is so anti-Hindu and anti-national,  that we cannot impart teaching of moral values based on our ancient literature. So many national heroes have been getting inspiration form the teachings of Gita, which says that one should do his duty, and leave the rest to the God, ie, selfless service. Three, Muslims  and Christians are so intolerant, that they do not have any respect for our own ancient culture and heroes, despite the fact that Gita does not contain any thing to hate Muslims and Christians. Infact they did not exists in those  days. Four, no follower of Gandhiji, who preached Gita, supported the Karnataka  government on this issue, but opposed it. This also shows that Gandhiji and his followers talked, of Gita, only to befool the Hindus, but favoured Jawaharlal Nehru’s views  who had contempt for every thing Indian/Hindu. This was fully known to Gandhiji, still he favoured Nehru.

Congress unpopular  The cartoon in the Hindu dated 1.10.11 tellingly illustrates the predicament of the Congress party which electorally still calls itself the Indian National Congress. It is humiliating to find  the top leaders of the biggest political party in Bharat and senior most ministers in government, being depicted as no more than hanging on the finger nails of  an Italian lady whomanaged to enter the fourth generation of the Nehru dynasty. The people of our country seems to be shamelessly eager to accept and “enjoy” foreign rule again—after Mughals and British rule, now Italian rule. God save Bharat.
