Adolescents of today are under high stress as they want to be accepted for their in-between age when they wish to perform well and please their adults but are unable to do so often. In the olden days, life was simple, the daily chores were limited and “everyone belonged to everyone and no one belonged to anyone”. But today stress has become an integral part of everyone’s life due to unimaginable competition. Adolescents have to always try to be better than many and this leads to stress.

The author of this book tells them to rid themselves of stress by finding out what is bothering them and then go all out to altering their reaction to the cause of worry so as to avoid all harmful effects of stress. The author lists some of the factors responsible for stress and these are personal, interpersonal, familial, social, financial and environmental. petitiveness, sportsmanship, etc. which help to build the personality of an adolescent are discussed.

In short, this book is about discovering what works for these youngsters and care should be taken so that nobody gets hurt in the process.
