Indian connection of Da Vinci code

DAN Brown in his novel, Da Vinci Code, described that the worship of Goddess by pagans was inherited by the early Christians, though Catholics of Vatican and Opus Dei tried their best to wipe out not only the concept but also the direct descendents of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. Generations after generations, some of them tried to protect such worship and also the descendents of Jesus by forming secret societies in Europe. The names of societies are described variously as Priory of Sion founded in 1099, Knights Templar, Brotherhood, etc, Sir Issac Newton was one such member. The whole novel is in search of Holy Grail of Da Vinci Code and concludes that Merovingian kings and queens are descendents born to Jesus Christ and his wife Mary Magdalene. The author describes the symbolic worship of Goddess by the union of male and female.

The triangle pointing the vertex upwards, representing male, was described as “Blade” and the other triangle, representing female was described as “Chalice” or the Holy Grail. The fused or combined symbol was described as “Star of David” or “Solomon’s Seal”.

In Hindu mythology also, the triangle pointing the vertex upwards represents the “Lord Shiva” and the other triangle represents Goddess “Shivani”. In fact, Srichakra worship which has its origins from Kashmir, is nothing but union of five Shiva triangles and four Shivani triangles (or vice versa) so that 32 vertices are formed when arranged in two dimensional form. We can find the same in any commentary book on Adi Shankara’s Soundarya Lahari. Adi Shankara describes that the worship of Srichakra awakens the Shakti or Kundalini power. The union of Shiva and Shivani is the worship of Shakti or worship of Goddess.

But Dan Brown is of the opinion that this symbology was derived from Egyptian mythology which was later copied by pagans. The reason may be that each triangle represents a pyramid which reveals Egyptian civilisation. Scientifically speaking, this pyramid, a planar triangle and a pyramidal structure over the triangle is simply represented as a triangle in Chemistry and Mineralogy for understanding purposes. This is nothing but a tetrahedron with which all chemists are quite familiar. The quartz (which we worship as Shiva) is nothing but built up of such tetrahedra. Each tetrahedron has four equilateral triangles and this is the first regular solid present in the nature. The next regular solid is octahedron. This is constructed by placing one tetrahedron over the other such that the upper tetrahedron is rotated by 180o. Pictorially, the union of Shiva and Shivani (or blade and chalice) is represented in a two dimensional way as in the so called Star of David. In many Hindu households, they put a diagram of the above two triangles (Rangoli), after sprinkling water before the threshold in the morning, Additionally, they put a bindu at the centre of octahedron; some people put flowers on it. This should be also treated as worship of Goddess of Earth because more than 90 per cent earth’s composition consists of materials having tetrahedral and octahedral structures. Probably, it may be the reason why Sri Aurobindo designed the logo for Aurobindo Society; the logo consists of an octahedron built of two tetrahedra. Both the Mother and Aurobindo practiced Integral Yoga based on the worship of Mother Earth, in descending form, so that the consciousness finally reaches the Mother Earth. Hence the worship of the Goddess in the form of Star of David by Pagans, early Christians Brotherhood and Priory of Sion and which is being despised by the modern Catholics has its origin from Kashmir (Originally, Srichakra representing Srividya was worshipped in Kashmir). It may not be out of context to note that Pagans also worshipped the Sun God, Mitra (Mitra in Sanskrit means Sun).

Another star which is hated by Catholics is Lucifer, the Star which raises early in the morning in the eastern horizon. This was also mentioned by Mr Brown. Christians consider this star as Fallen Angel or Satan. In Greek mythology, this morning star is called Venus, the God of Beauty. Dan Brown in his novel says that Venus is also worshipped by the Brotherhood by worshipping Rose (Roslin) or a Pentacle (five petals of a rose, representing the star).

Annie Besant, the famous Indian freedom fighter and a Thesophist also worshipped Lucifer, the so called Satan by the Christian clergy. She acted as the Editor of the Journal, called Lucifer (published from France) after the death of her occult Guru Blavetsky, who propogated the eastern philosophy through Lucifer journal. One of the articles by Annie Besant in Lucifer revealed that many elements in the periodic table, consisted of different types; she predicted their masses also. Long after her prediction, these were labelled as isotopes by modern Science. She also predicted through yogic power that electrons are divisible which were confirmed in 90’s by quark theory. The findings are very close. The point here is why such scientific details were published in Lucifer, the very name which the Christians despise. It appears that Annie Besant might be aware of falsehood spread by Catholics because she edited such journals, had strong relationship with Madan Mohan Malviya (The college she founded was the first constituent college of BH University) and finally embraced Hinduism in her later life.

The final Indian connection to Da Vinci Code is that the logo of Aurobindo Society consists of Rose (representing Lucifer) and octahedron (Star of David). This was designed decades before the publication Da Vinci Code. For Indians, it is holy because the octahedron represents the union of Shiva and Shivani and rose represents peaceful state of mental consciousness. For Christians, octahedron represents pagan worship of Goddess practiced by early Christians including Jesus and Mary Magdalene and rose represents Satan. So what is holy for Hindus is satanic for Catholics, more so to the servants of Vatican and Opus Dei.
