SHRI Guruji Golwalkar Hindu Resource Centre was inaugurated by Swami Harshananda, the president of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Bengaluru, in the premises of Bharatmata Gurukula Ashram and Yogi Ramsuratkumar Indological Centre of Sister Nivedita Academy in Sri Bharatmata Mandir, Srinivasa Nagar, Krishnarajapuram, Bengaluru, on October 18.

In his special message to the spirited opening ceremony and meeting of the Hindu Resource Centre, former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Dr M Rama Jois said: Vijayadashami is the founding day of the great, unique and unparalleled organisation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which from its small beginning with only about a dozen of youths has grown into the biggest voluntary organisation and is working in almost all spheres of human activity. It’s second Sarsanghachalak Shri Guruji devoted every iota of his energy, every minute of his time in the service of Bharatmata. Bharatmata Gurukulam Ashram is dedicated to the service of all those saints, sages, sadhus and mahatmas who adore and worship Bharatmata. Having regard to the object and ideal of Bharatmata Gurukula Ashram, it is most appropriate that Shri Guruji Golwalkar Hindu Resource Centre is being established in the premises of Sri Bharatmata Mandir.

Speaking on the occasion Swami Harshananda gave a soul inspiring speech recalling how under the inspiration of Swami Akandananda’s initiation, Guruji Golwalkar undertook the life of a mendicant, and still he dedicated his life for the larger cause of the Motherland and took over the leadership of the RSS with his sterling character that left his stamp on the movement forever. He further underlined the dire need for Hindu unity and Dharma sangraha. He pointed out that there were lot of spiritual leaders working for the Hindu community for a long time and among them, the contribution of Shri Guruji was unique. He proved that casteism and communalism could not be integrated with Hindu Dharma and were antagonistic to Hindu welfare. He urged upon the youth to enrich Hindu ethos by practicing them in day to day life.

Shri V Nagaraj, Kshethra Bhouddhik Pramukh of RSS, said Shri Guruji echoed Swami Vivekananda’s clarion call to the nation’s youth to arise, awake and build a powerful Hindu nation. Retracing the eventful life of Shri Guruji, he recollected how under his visionary leadership, the RSS had become the bulwark of nationalist interests. He lauded Sadhu Prof V Rangarajan for his selfless and yeoman service in the propagation of Sanatan Dharma and wanted more number of such centres to be set up in each district, taluk and even village level. He also warned Hindus about the conversion activities of proselytising religions and asked them to be alert to defeat their designs. Shri Keshav Hegde, provincial organising secretary of VHP, summed up the grim challenges before the Hindu nation and the need for many more such centers to awaken the Hindus.

Swami Chandresananda of Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sadhana Kendra, Bengaluru, stressed the need for all Hindu organisations to coordinate their efforts and harmoniously work in a spirit of true brotherhood to remove the rot in our national life. He said, the Hindu population in Bharat was dwindling day by day and it was the responsibility of Hindu organisations and leaders to create awakening among the Hindus.

Sadhu Prof. V Rangarajan, founder of Sister Nivedita Academy of which Sri Bharatmata Gurukula Ashram and Yogi Ramsuratkumar Indological Research Centre and Sri Bharatmata Mandir are offshoots, noted how under the inspiration of Shri Guruji Golwalkar, he started his career as a staunch worker of the RSS and how he was determined to convert into concrete reality, the long cherished bosom dream of stalwarts of Hindu Renaissance.
