A four-day workshop of music teachers was organised by Vidya Bharati north-eastern region in Siliguri from September 30 to October 3. It was first of its kind in which 60 teachers participated. National co-convenor of music training Shri Arun Chakravorty and Kshetra Pramukh Shri Vimalkrishan Das guided the participants.
Swami Jivananand and noted musician Shri Taraknath Bhattacharya addressed the participants. Regional organising secretary Shri Vijay Ganesh Kulkarni spoke on the role of music in all-round development of human personality. Shri Arun Chakravorty spoke on great Indian music traditions.
