A collection of interesting short stories

IN this compilation of short stories, the author, a freelance journalist and radio jockey, delves deep into the subtlety of human emotions that border on the ethos prevalent in Indian society today and takes the reader on a vividly imaginative and captivating ride through its pages.

The compiler admits that all the six stories except for one in the collection are fictitious with monochromatic shades of reality brushing over them – be it about politicking in a religious organisation, the poaching of tigers, a homosexual’s fight against the society, a poor woman’s struggle against all odds, or a successful copywriter’s search for lost love. The only story in this entire collection which is a complete take-off on the life story of a real living character is The Tale of a Renegade Kathakali Prandan, which is a detailed account of dancer Govindan Kutty’s life.

The stories are short but endearing.
