Balagokulam started as a cultural movement for children has become an important element of the social life in Kerala. By developing Sri Krishnajayanti as a national festival of Kerala, the organisation could paste its figure in the minds of Kerala people. People accepted Balagokulam as the only way to direct their children in proper way. At the time of starting, the circumstances prevailed in Kerala was very different. A cultural anarchism was there due to Western education and Western isms and religions had crossed its every limit. The efforts made by Balagokulam for re-establishing the traditional family system of India could find good results. The idea proposed by Balagokulam that to inculcate the children the feelings to the society and also to improve their personal qualities are necessary for a good society, has received by Kerala with both of its hands.
With this mind the workers and sympathisers of Balagokulam and Sangh living outside Kerala taking care to start Balagokulam units wherever they reached.
