“Durga Vahini was formed to boost-up the morel of women so that they feel secure, culturally sound and socially uplifted. The objective of organising week-long training camps throughout the country, is to instill the feeling of duty among the women towards the nation, culture and values. Now the teachings of the seven-day camps must go to every family,” said Shri Omkar Bhave, VHP vice president while speaking at the concluding ceremony of Durga Vahni training camp organised in Delhi. The camp had started on May 18 and concluded on May 24. More than 200 girls above the age of 15 years underwent training at the camp. Many sadhvis, saints and experts from different fields guided the participants.
Presiding over the concluding ceremony, noted writer and columnist Smt Sandhya Jain said the growing trend of dowry, girl child abuse, female foeticide and atrocities against women were some of the major challenges that the women should fight against. The way, she said, Durga Vahini demonstrated its preparedness to fight against the evil forces, I hope Delhi will soon get the result of it.
Matri Shakti zonal convener Smt Malti, state convener Smt. Santosh Gaur, Durga Vahini state convener Smt Anjali and co-convener Smt Sanjana, VHP state president Shri Swadeshpal Gupta, general secretary Shri Satyendra Mohan, organising secretary Shri Karuna Prakash, secretary and Durga Vahini incharge Shri Ram Krishna Shrivastava were among the dignitaries who were present on the occasion.
