Koshi region in Bihar was flooded again. This time not by the angry river rather by the presence of Sangh swayam-sevaks at Prathmik Shiksha Verga organised in Saharsa and Pratapganj (Supaul). According to Vibhag Karyavah Prof. Sangram Singh, the total number of swayamsevaks in the two Vargas was 600, which is a record in the history of Sangh work in this region. The Varga of Saharsa began on December 20 and concluded on December 27 while the Varga of Supaul began on December 22 and concluded on December 29. Saharsa Varga Mukhya Shikshak Shri Ram Naresh informed that a total of 468 swayamsevaks underwent training for 7 days at Saharsa Verga out of 368 were from Madhepura and 100 were from Saharsa.

The main reason behind the grand presence of swayamsevaks in the Varga was the divine service done by the swayamsevaks during the devastating flood this year. The whole area is still praising the relief work done by the RSS. Out of 13 blocks of Madhepura district, 11 were hit by the flood and out of 368 swayamsevaks from Madhepura, 362 were from these 11 blocks and rest 6 were from two blocks. Here it is worthy to mention that every village of Alam Nagar Block of Madhepura was represented in the Varga. Out of 10 blocks of Saharsa district, three were hit by flood and out of 100 swayamsevaks from Saharsa 63 were from these three blocks and rest were from seven blocks. Out of nine blocks of Supaul district, five were hit by flood and out of 130 swayamsevaks from Supaul 110 were from these five blocks and rest were from four blocks.
