Potential is an important aspect as it separates a high performer from a low performer. Highly successful individuals recognise their potential because they look for it and find it within themselves. Here the authors talk of the three ingredients that make up a person'spotential and these are innate talent or ability, education or knowledge and the intrinsic and compelling urge to do or be better. Thus one should identify one'stalents and gifts and utilise them to the hilt. Some say that people are born to win or that champions are born and not made, though the reality is that ?we are born to win and conditioned to lose?, claim the authors.
Most of us are conditioned negatively. With all our potential we are conditioned, expecting to receive only a fraction of what life has to offer. Conditioning makes us focus on our negativities and failures and not on our wins and positives.
Challenges in life come to all of us and sometimes they don'tmake sense and seem unfair. But to live life positively, we have to play the hand dealt to us to the best of our ability. Never compare with others but only compare and compete with your own best self. The authors conclude, ?Never put a period, where God has put a comma,? because even in times of adversity, there really are blessings in disguise provided we search for them.
