Haryana remembered Madan Lal Dhingra on the occasion of his 100th Martyrdom day at Karnal. The nation must recognise the contribution made by all the revolutionaries to the freedom struggle of the country.
It is however very unfortunate that none of the newspapers or the TV channels carried any article about the life and sacrifice of Madan Lal Dhingra. Few people know that he was born at Amritsar and was the first Indian to be hanged in England.
Rashtriya Yoddha Smarak Samiti has prepared a write-up on his family background and compiled a C.D. on his youthful days spent in London. The Samiti sent the material to Haryana Chief Minister Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda on August 19.
