Hundreds of youths belonging to Delhi unit of Bajrang Dal marched to Punchch district of Jammu & Kashmir on July 31. They went for the holy darshan of Baba Budha Amarnath, 250 kms away from Jammu. The purpose of the yatra is to closely associate with the problems of Hindus in the valley, who are victims of Pak-sponsored terrorism and Muslim fundamentalism. The yatra would strengthen the sense of security among them and will ensure them that citizens of the country are with them in their fight against terrorism. Baba Budha Amarnath is situated within the beautiful natural bounties and is 25 kms away from Punchch. The grandfather of Ravana, Rishi Pulatsya, used to go to the holy cave of Swami Amarnath. When he became old and incapable of reaching the cave, Baba Amarnath appeared on the place in the form of a rock Shiv Linga. Since then, the place is famous as Baba Budha Amarnath. The river nearby is called Pulasti and the place is called Punchch. A large number of devotees were taking part in the holy darshan of the place from the whole Jammu region. Hindu population in three of the six districts of Jammu division has come down drastically. Doda and Rajouri districts are having only 40 per cent and 35 per cent Hindus respectively whereas in Punchch the Hindus have been reduced to 9 per cent.
