A swayamsevak of the first Sangh shakha in Dehradun, Jitendra Goel passed away on June 22 in Dehradun. He was 89. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri B.C. Khanduri, his cabinet colleagues, former Chief Minister Shri Nityanand Swami, Zilla Sanghachalak Shri Dayachand Jain and senior leaders of various organisations paid their tribute to the departed soul.
Affectionately called as ?Tauji?, Jitendra Goel was born on January 1, 1920. He became a swayam-sevak in his childhood and participated in the Freedom Movement. He also joined the Quit India Movement, of 1942. Fully dedicated to the cause of Hindutva and Sangh work he set Ajanta Studio in Dehradun. He was in jail for six months during the Emergency. One of his sons Shri Shashikant Goel is Prant Karyavah of Utarakhand.
