The Prime Minister'sreturn package for Pandits has not satisfied the victims of Kashmir holocaust. They have demanded a comprehensive package to facilitate the Pandits? return. Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM), a nationalistic socio-political organisation, which has been tirelessly working for preservation of socio-cultural heritage of Kashmiri migrant Hindu community has stressed on the need for a comprehensive package.
The national executive of the Manch that met in Jammu on June 1 said the piece meal treatments have never been welcomed by the JKVM, however the concern and the intent of the Government is yet to be weighed against failed promises of the past. The initiatives of JKVM have gone a long way in building the morale and restoring the pride of the exiled community.
Various issues discussed threadbare included the Kashmiri Hindu migrant community response to PM'spackage, pending temple bill, organisational expansion at grass root level and confidence building measures.
Vichar?the official magazine of JKVM, which used to be published from Delhi earlier shall now be published from Jammu. Shri Bharat has been appointed editor-in-chief with supporting editors to different sections being Dr R.L. Bhat (English), Dr Sangeeta Goel (Hindi) and Smt Sunita Raina Pandit (Kashmiri).
Shri Anupam Kaul has been appointed as national general secretary and Shri Ajay Bharati as Delhi unit president. Shri Ashok Kaul guided the workers to work with zeal.
National president Shri T.N. Razdan while recollecting the decisions of the past with a futuristic vision vis-?-vis various aspects said most of the past calls of JKVM are being followed now by the community enlarge. The active delibrations on political awakening by majority has come real today to all including those who have been thinking opposite of active political participation in the past. He said each community member should exercise its right to franchise even in exile. He inspired workers at all levels to work selflessly and be proud to have the opportunity to work for the motherland.
