BHUBANESWAR: Students of the RSS backed Siksha Vikas Samiti, state unit of the Vidya Bharati have achieved a huge success in the recently held High School Certificate examination conducted by the Orissa Board of Secondary Education.
Around 96 per cent of the students have passed the examination while 18 Shishu Mandir students figured in the best 10 lists. Out of 18 toppers, 9 students of Barmunda Saraswati Shishu Mandir students have figured in the best 10 lists.
Besides, students in the tribal dominated areas of the State also performed very well in the examination.
It is important to note that under the banner of Sikhya Vikas Samiti, 621 Shishu Mandirs are working in the State while 5,034 students from 117 Shishu Mandirs appeared in the examination, in which 96 per cent of the students have cleared their examination.
3,354 students got first division, 1,067 got second division while 398 got third division.
Fifty-one Shishu Mandirs scored cent per cent results while students of 17 Shishu Mandirs have secured first and second division, in these 17 schools, not a single student figured in the third division.
State unit of Siksha Vikas Samiti president Dr Praful Chandra Mohapatra has congratulated all the successful candidates and wished them for a better future. Secretary Ramesh Chandra Tripathy, organising secretary Gobinda Chandra Mahant and members of the working committee also congratulated the successful candidates. (FOC)
