In the olden days of no e-mails, cell phones, faxes or any such hi-tech means of communication systems, letter was the highest used and most expressive way of effective communication. Shri Guruji has written thousands of such expressive letters to various levels of swayamsevaks of the Sangh, to social thinkers and to many other people. As in his speeches or in personal conversations, even in his letters he never minced words when it came to ideology. Clarity of thoughts, commitment to action-oriented ideology and caring fatherly advice to people at various levels are salient features of his letters.

The above heading is Shri Guruji'ssentence from one of such expressive letters. This was written to Shri Hirenbabu of Kolkata on August 20, 1960. (Shri Guruji Samagra, Volume 8, P. 191).

It was not just his dream to establish mighty and invincible Hindu rashtra, but Shri Guruji had strong foundation of ideology, clear plan of action and vast networking of committed people to make it come true. Establishing Hindu rashtra and getting Hindu Dharma and Hindus utmost respect from the universe was his life mission.

In Sangh Shiksha Varga of 1954, Shri Guruji had mentioned an interesting incidence, which is so relevant even today. He said, ?I remember, there was Quit India movement going on. I met someone from the movement and asked him, ?What will be achieved of this movement?? That man said, ?We will get independence.? I asked, ?We means who?? That man got engrossed in thinking. I again said, ?After independence, Muslims will say, we were badshah here, Christians will say, we were shasak (rulers) here, we want power.? That man got angry and said, ?What right do they have here? The real owner of this nation is Hindu only.? Important is Shri Guruji'sobservation on this, which he told in that Sangh Shiksha Varga, which is, ?Everyone has the same Hindu inner feeling, sometimes subconsciously, in the mind and our duty is to awaken that feeling.? (Shri Guruji Samagra, Volume 4, P. 90).

It is beyond any Sangh swayamsevek to analyse and comment on Shri Guruji'swords. Not because they are any difficult or unclear; it is because those words are so full of clear expression and inner, heartfelt feelings that one experiences the strength in them while reading them and then later, recalling them again and again in day-to-day life.

Shri Guruji had utmost respect towards our army men. In his message from Vadodara Akashvani Kendra during 1965 India-Pakistan war, he said, ?It is not the war between armies, it is a war between two nations. Every person of this nation must help our army in this war. Our government also must not bow to any outside pressure and get into an uneasy and ?dangerous to the nation? treaty.? (Shri Guruji Samagra, Volume 10, P. 186). How relevant it is today, when our army, para-military forces and police are fighting Islamic terrorism in Kashmir, Assam etc. and based on ulta chor kotwal ko daten proverb, Islamic terrorists and their families are blaming our brave army men and police. What'smore, even our governments, judiciary and some media are giving in to the lies by Islamic terrorists and prosecuting our brave fighters just for votes or for cheap publicity!

Really, power corrupts! Not just pockets but power corrupts basic human thinking ability! Shri Guruji once said, ?Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is true. But instead of using that power given by people, once power-mongers get power, they have only one ambition and that is to retain that power at any cost! Their outlook towards people who voted for them and who helped them into power is ?I am the king and you all are my slaves?.? (Shri Guruji Samagra, Volume 11, P. 80). One look around us and we will find as many shocking examples of what Shri Guruji had then said with clarity.

As a little kid and then as a growing boy who had come with a clear dream from a little village from a poor farmer'sfamily to the city like Karnavati (Ahmedabad, whose name-change to Karnavati file was thrown in a dustbin by such power-mongers), attending shakhas and then Sangh Shiksha Vargas as a swayamsevak, I heard Shri Guruji, got inspired, got concrete strength to my clear dream and decided that, Yes, here'sthe guru and here'sthe sangathan that will sure re-establish every Hindu'sself-respect and Hindu Dharma'sunited strength as a nation called Hindu rashtra, as Shri Guruji said, ?In our country, political leaders call a Hindu non-Muslim! Hindu is not a negative animal! If we have to understand and practice Hindutva, then we have to follow our great values in our day-to-day life. In all fields of our society our impression as a Hindu should be visible and this is our duty! Reuniting and regrouping Hindus are the basis of it. We must have this conviction and commitment that this is my Hindu rashtra. This is my dharma (religion), this is my darshan. I have to live following this only that in any circumstances, only one voice must come forward: Yes! This is Hindu rashtra.? (Shri Guruji Samagra, Volume 11, P. 60 & 66).

And this is what made me and hundreds and thousands like me to do a determined sankalp of Hindu rashtra. In today'sperspective, this is more important as there are forces working to divide committed people, there are Islamic terrorists marching to spread Dar-ul-Islam and there are power-mongers spreading virus of logical fallacy of big sounding phrases like development, not dharma, secularism not spiritualism, SEZs (Special Economic Zones) not sadhu-saints or gochar and fertile land. Development, equality and prosperity had been and are a part of Hindu Dharma and Shri Guruji, along with his emphasis on scientific outlook, always expressed his conviction towards such Hindu rashtra! My heartfelt pranam to Shri Guruji.
