At the World Hindu Conference at Ardhkumbh in Allahabad, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) gave a call to throw open the temples for everyone ?who is a believer?. In the wake of recent controversies on allowing entry to Dalits in temples in some states, the VHP has turned vocal in favour of the oppressed classes in ?the larger interest of the Hindu unity.?

A resolution passed at the meet stated that the time has come to resolve all differences between various Hindu castes and classes and to work for united Hindu nation.

?Keeping in view the need of a Hindu revolution, the temples must invite the Dalits to offer prayers and discuss religion. Temples across the country should also be developed as a centre for organisational activities. It should no longer be involved in any exploitation of the downtrodden as such activities hamper the growth of religion,? the resolution stated.

Further elaborating on the resolution, Vishwa Hindu Parishad International President Ashok Singhal said the Hindu vote-bank is divided due to the rigid approach of some temples managements and lack of autonomy. ?But these problems can be weeded out by getting united,? he said.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad said, ?It'sa historic resolution. The simple motive of this resolution is to set the stage for a Hindu awakening.?

No mosque with Babar'sname within Ayodhya'slimit?

Inaugurating the third Virat Hindu Sammelan Shri Ashok Singhal said the Parishad won'tallow any mosques bearing the name of Babar to be constructed within the municipal limits of Ayodhya. Addressing a huge gathering on the banks of Sangam, Shri Singhal said, ?Ram temple will be constructed at the same place in Ayodhya, where a temporary structure is already in shape. And no mosque will be allowed in the vicinity of that place.?

In the resolution on the temple entry the conference declared that each and every Hindu has the equal right to worship. Every Hindu is absolutely free to enter into any Hindu temple and there should be no bar. Any obstruction to any Hindu to worship is suicidal for the entire Hindu society. This resolution resolved?

* Great men do not have any particular religion, hence all Hindus should participate in the celebration of their holy days.

* The venerable saints are requested to visit the villages of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and they should organise satsangas in these villages.

Another resolution was passed on creation of Hindu vote-bank. It is resolved that the cause of Bharat'sunderdevelopment is the lack of Hindu'spolitical power. So-called secular forces are taking its advantage. Hence Hindus must create Hindu vote-bank, forgetting their caste discriminations.

If the hundred crore Hindus of Bharat have to live with dignity, installation of pro-Hindu government is an urgent necessity. VHP International President Shri Ashok Singhal declared that the future political agenda of the nation has to be the restatement of Hindu nation.

A temporary township was created at Allahabad to inhabit more than three lakh participants. The township was named after Guru Golwalkar the second Sarsangha-chalak of RSS. Shri Singhal announced that the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of the country constituting more than 20 per cent population of the country are the real defenders of the Hindu culture. In fact, he stated, that they exhibit the traits of the Kshatriyas and are the source of great strength to reestablish the superiority of Hinduism all over the world.

From a stage where numerous heads and leaders of various sects of Hindus shared a common platform, he listed three major dangers to the nation namely: unlawful activities of the Christian missionaries, Islamic terrorism and anti-national activities of Maoists.

He declared that VHP will strive to create a strong Hindu vote-bank and in future only that political combination will receive the support from Hindu voters that clearly declares to follow the Hindu agenda. Later, elaborating this point further Sadhvi Ritambhara stated that vote is sacred and it has to be used in the overall interest of the nation and humanity. While announcing the action plan for the VHP Shri Ashok Singhal declared that one of the priority areas of VHP is going to be the removal of illiteracy. To achieve this, he said, VHP and its associate organisations will create more than one lakh ekal schools in the next year. He said that the present UPA government is basically anti-Hindu and is indulging in anti-national activities by appeasing Muslims. He also sent a warning signal to various television channels to stop spreading cultural pollution by telecasting programmes based upon western thought of consumerism and physical comforts. He said that if the present government fails to rectify the situation Hindu saints will have to take the matter in their own hands and with the help of the women power of the nation the channels will be rejected and boycotted.

Expressing worry over the imbalance in the growth of population in the country he said that Hindus are decreasing their own population by indulging in female foeticide and following the norm of two children, whereas Muslims? rate of growth of population has crossed all previous records. He said that Hindus must look after their numbers otherwise they may become a minority in their own land. The proceedings of the first day of the Third World Hindu Conference went on for more than six hours and was addressed by many saints including Satyamitranandji Giri, Vasudevji Maharaj, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Dayanand Saraswati, Parmanandji Maharaj, Acharya Dharmendra, Digambar Jainmuni Moti Sagarji.

Hinduism is a way of life that treats every living being as one and integrated. He said that it is a matter of regret that Hindus in their own country are being treated as second rate citizens. He said both Muslims and Christians are divided into various sections as is perhaps Hindu society because diversity is the law of nature.

But only Indian system practices unity in diversity. He advocated for the creation of consciousness about the Hindu nation among all people of the world. Shri Sudarshan further said that Bharat is a unique nation. “Integrity among diversity is our uniqueness. People of all religions live here. But in spite of that, we believe in Sarvadharma sambhava. Now Bharat is yet to become the mightiest nation. It is only possible through self-realisation and self-awakening among the people of India. Unless and until we recognise ourselves, we cannot make our nation powerful. Hence, each and every Hindu should recognise his glorious past and march on the path of nation making. This is the aim of the Sangh,? he said.

Swami Dayanand also reiterated that Hindu vote is sacred and we must ensure that the anti-Hindu forces are defeated by using this sacred weapon of democracy. Swami Dayanand Saraswati emphasised the need for creation of Hindu vote-bank. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vishweswar also supported him and said that power of Hindu vote-bank will determine the future of this nation. Hence Hindus should learn to utilise their voting power.

International General Secretary of VHP, Dr. Pravin Togadia in his address called upon the representatives to be prepared for a last battle for the establishment of Hindu state. He said that when Babar demolished Ram temple 20 crore Hindus remained inactive, when the country was partitioned Hindus again remained divided, but today Hindu is united and anyone attacking Hindu culture will receive a befitting reply.

Three resolutions were read out to the audience, one each on Hindu Nation, Hindu Unity and Social Harmony. A large gathering of the people belonging to all parts of the country and from 50 nations expressed their support to the resolutions by declaring in unison Hindu rashtra ki jai. The conference was inaugurated by the reputed industrialist Shri Ganga Raju of Andhra Pradesh.

Venerable saint Swami Satyamitranand Giri in his speech said that the people in power have misused tolerance of Hindu society. Hindus should live with honour and dignity.
