Material required
* Five or six old thread reels.
* Coloured sheets of paper.
* Paint brushes.
* Poster colours.
* A pair of scissors.
* A blob of cotton wool.
* Blue or yellow beads.
* A thick piece of string.
Method
* Paste two reels together to each other horizontally to make the steam engine and paint this in black.
* Take a 3-inch long and 2-inch wide black paper to roll and paste the edges together to make the chimney.
* Paste this chimney on top of the two reels stuck together.
* Stick the cotton wool on top of the chimney to signify smoke belching out of the chimney.
* Paint the remaining three or four reels with red or blue colours and paint doors and windows as shown.
* Paste the yellow or blue beads on the base below of the reels to constitute the wheels.
* Stick a blue bead in the centre of the engine to make the front and also past two yellow beads at the base to make the lights.
* Now pass the thick string through the hole on either sides of the reels ensuring that the end of the string on the last reel is tied into a knot.
* Pull the string passing through the centre of the reel which stands for the engine and the train will move.
