FOC
Amidst chanting of Vedic hymns, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav inaugurated a building named after Dr Ram Manohar Lohia at Deendayal Research Institute (DRI) project in Chitrakoot on September 12. Shri Nana Deshmukh, founder of the project and noted social worker, was also present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav said his entry at the DRI premises might cause a controversy, but he did not bother about it, as the welfare work done by DRI in Chitrakoot and some areas of Madhya Pradesh is unparalleled. ?The evil forces always create problem in good works. I came here only due to the good works done by Nanaji. If some people make it an issue, let them do it,? he said, adding that he was not averse to visiting any place where welfare work was being carried out.
The welfare work done by Nanaji Deshmukh in UP and MP is unparalleled and SP activists should emulate this model. ?Mulayam Singh Yadav
Referring to the Ramjanmabhoomi movement in 1990, Shri Yadav pointed out that when he was the Chief Minister of the State, there was tension between the government and the karsevaks. ?At that time some members of my own party had pushed me in that critical situation and finally the whole blame was put on me. Then I went to Nanaji and he while playing an active role saved the country from a very dangerous and violent situation,? he added.
Lauding the work done by Nanaji, Shri Yadav said Nanaji is not an ordinary person. The welfare work done by him in 500 villages of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh is unparallel. He also mentioned the close relations between Nanaji and Dr Lohia. About Nanaji'sdecision to quit politics after the age of 60, he said ?only the person who practically does what he says, can truly serve the country. Nanaji has practically shown how the country can be really served,? he said, calling upon the Samajwadi Party activists to emulate the DRI model. He said the Indian model of development developed by Nanaji needs to be developed and propagated more as the foreign language and foreign economy were hitting the culture of the country hard. He assured Nanaji that he would turn the temple town into a tourist resort.
