Shri Vishwas Dabar, spokesperson of Uttaranchal BJP has alleged that the State Congress Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, N.D. Tewari, had deceived the people of the State. Talking to Organiser in Dehradun recently, he said the Congress Government was pursing anti-people policies and was least interested in taking up developmental works. He said the industrial policy of the Congress Government failed to deliver the desired results. He said the earlier industrial policy, envisaged by the BJP government, significantly favoured industrialisation in Uttaranchal, but the faulty policies of both the UPA Government at the Centre and the State Government in Uttaranchal, dampened the spirit of investors. He alleged that even the developmental schemes sanctioned during the previous BJP government had come to a standstill due to the careless attitude of the Congress Government.
?Congress has failed to meet the aspirations of the people. This Government has ruined the State during its three years tenure as the State is under a loan debt of Rs. 9,000 crore. Shri N.D. Tewari, who had opposed the formation of Uttaranchal, is unable to run the State and its administration properly as he has proved himself a helpless Chief Minister. He is busy in appeasing his party workers by distributing them cars with beacon lights so that they may not rebel against him. Tiwari'smain concern is not the welfare of the people but protecting his own Chief Ministership. The BJP is struggling for the welfare of people who have now realised that the BJP is their only wellwisher. The Congress came into power by making false promises like giving employment to two lacks youths per year, but it has totally failed to keep its promises. Now the people of the State have made up their mind to teach the Congress a lesson. The greatest achievement of this government is its 25 major scams for which people of the State will never forgive it. People are well aware of the fact that not a single scam or case of corruption took place in the BJP'stenure when Shri Nityanand Swami and Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari were Chief Ministers of the State,? he said.
