The Gwalior court has granted conditional bail to Digvijay Singh, Congress general secretary and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who, at his party meeting in Bhopal, had alleged that the RSS imparted training to its workers in making bombs and other weapons. He had also said that the RSS workers had planted bomb at Bhopal railway station and burnt the houses of minorities. Pained at the allegations, Shri Avadesh Singh Bhadoria, an advocate, filed a defamation case against Digvijay Singh in the court of the Session Judge in Gwalior. The Session Judge, Shri Gangacharan Dube, directed the state DGP to inquire into the allegation and submit his report to the court. Since the report found the allegation baseless, the court ordered filing of a defamation case against Digvijay Singh under Section 500 of IPC. After receiving the summons, Digvijay Singh surrendered in the court on March 4. The court granted him bail on the condition that he would appear in the court on every subsequent hearing. The next hearing will be held on April 4.
