?It is high time we learn to be proud of our faith and call ourselves Hindu. Hindutva is the only ideology that is liberal in the real sense. One does not have to discard or give up anything to become Hindu. Hindutva is the identity of India,? said Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah of RSS. He was speaking at a function in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, recently.
He said that a Swayamsevak knows well that Bharat is a Hindu Rashtra. There are Muslims and Christians too in the country but they are part of the mainstream. It is out of ignorance that they oppose Vanda Mataram. Hindutva does not require them to give up anything, he added. Quoting President, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam elaborately, the RSS Sarkaryavah said that since we have given up worship of Goddess ?Shakti?, we are lagging behind in all fields. He further said that Dr Kalam speaks of reviving Lok Shakti. This is so because Shakti is an integral part of Lok. The country must be strong to lead the world.
Elaborating on the main object of the RSS, Shri Bhagwat said that the Sangh provides a sense of security to Indian society. It is therefore necessary that RSS Swayamsevaks come forward to help tsunami victims as they had done in the past at the time of natural calamity, he added.
