A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind met Shri Tarun Vijay, editor of Panchajanya and presented him an authentic Hindi version of Quran. Shri Tarun Vijay reciprocated by presenting to the leader of the delegation, Moham-mad Iqbal Mulla, assistant secretary-general of the Jamaat, a copy of RSS-A Vision in Action written by Shri H.V. Seshadri.
Mohammad Iqbal Mulla explained at length what he felt was the real message of Quran and said that Islam stands for peaceful co-existence and ?there is a great need for us to understand each other and have a dialogue based on mutual respect. The Quran is a book of peace and brotherhood and those who indulge in terrorism or brutalities against others are going against what Prophet has said.? Shri Tarun Vijay said, ?Lakhs of Hindus, were driven out from Kashmir valley by the Islamic terrorists, yet none of the Muslim clerics declared that the terrorists were indulging in ?un-Islamic? activities. The world over terrorism is being closely identified with Islam. This is a cause of concern for well-meaning and patriotic Muslims of our nation.?
The Muslim society in India has a considerable section that believes in amity and has been in dialogue with the RSS leaders because they understand that the solution lies in building bridges and not in confrontation. Shri Tarun Vijay added, ?The RSS also believes in ekatmata based on Bharat bhakti.?
