Uttaranchal unit of Hindu Jagaran Manch observed an Akhand Bharat week in the state from August 15 to 21. Speaking at a function held in Vikas Nagar, Swami Brahmachari Mahesh Swaroop said that India did not achieve what the martyrs of the freedom struggle had dreamt of. If those dreams are to be fulfilled Hindus would have to work unitedly, he said adding that the aim of the freedom struggle had been to make India a model country and also to restore the pristine glory. Dr Neeraj said that Hindus should work together for the betterment and integration of the country.

Presiding over the function, Advocate Kuldeep Kumar, district president of Hindu Jagaran Manch, stated that it was the duty of every Indian to fight against the anti-national forces, which were destabilising the integration of the country. He observed that though thousands of freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for the freedom, what we achieved in 1947 was just a political Independence and that too with division of the country. ?We should resolve to reintegrate the country. Hindu Jagaran Manch has been working for this cause,? he said.

Shri Satish Sindhvani, Kshetriya organising secretary of Hindu Jagaran Manch, said that India should not be too liberal that the anti-national forces took undue advantage of it and most of the energy of the country went waste. He opined that the first priority of the country'sleadership should be the national interests and not the political or personal interests. Shri Rajendra Bhandari, Uttaranchal organising secretary of Hindu Jagaran Manch, also spoke on the occasion.
