?A person is identified by his country. Wherever we go in the world we would be known as Hindustani or Bharatiya. A person'sreligion can be changed, but not his culture. One'sparents and country are decided by God, not by the one concerned,? said Indresh Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh of RSS. He was interacting with Muslim intellectuals in Bhopal. The discussion was organised by the Sahodar Manch. Apart from Sangh workers, more than two dozen Muslim intellectuals attended the meeting.
Shri Indresh Kumar said that religion and culture belonged to the country and forefathers. ?We may have different religions, but our culture, country and traditions are common.? He said that the widening gulf owing to the existing feeling of hatred between the two communities cannot be bridged with sycophancy or hate; only humanity can bridge it. ?We have to remove all the misconceptions and misunderstandings by sitting together and discussing all the points with a smiling face. We should leave the meeting place after hugging each other and also with the promise that we shall meet again,? he said.
Prominent Sangh leaders who attended the meeting were Uttamchand Israni, Kshetriya Sanghchalak, Shashibhai Sheth, Prant Sanghchalak and Kantilal Chatar, Bhopal Mahanagar Sanghchalak. The Muslim intellectuals included Sultan Abdul Ajiz, Maulana Hamidulla Nadavi, Anwarbhai, Majid Hussain, Smt Najam Begham, Prof. Jamiruddin and Dr Ausaf Shamiri Khurram. (VSK)
