Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader, Namaste

Brihadaranyak Upanishad contains this scintillating message: “You are what your deep driving desire is; As your desire is, so is your will; As your will is, so is your deed; As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

This ancient wisdom has always inspired us. And we have set a high target for ourselves. The Organiser has to grow in numbers and improve in quality and content. Slowly we will change the format along with introducing new features.

Change is the essence of life. Many of our readers have been pressing for discontinuing some of the existing features.

Our mission is to make Organiser more racy, modern and interactive. The number of letters we receive every week is proof of the keen interest of our readers.

In tune with these changes, with this issue, we are doing away with regular editorials and in its place we will try to bring refreshing thoughts from important leaders who shape our destiny.

The Organiser has always been associated with the best of Indian thought. Through the last five decades of its existence, it has undergone many changes and ups and downs. The Organiser was always gifted with contributions by a number of eminent writers and for years, it used to be a forum, which gave expression to all hues of views. And it played a significant role in the political education and ideological communication of our people.

Now, the Organiser has to develop into a complete family magazine, with range and variety and quality content. We are introducing a number of new segments for women, youth, and children and also to cover along with politics, economy, history, science, art and culture and books. We will have more news and views that will shape our tomorrow.

All this is possible only with your encouragement and involvement. This is an appeal to our readers for their suggestions, views and comments to make Organiser more responsive to our readers.

Everybody in the Organiser family is thankful to our former Editor Shri Sheshadri Chari, who has taken up a new assignment with the BJP.

With warm greetings,

R. Balashankar
