Bilasipara Gang Rape: 15-years-old minor Hindu girl raped by Islamist Moynal Haque and three others in Assam

The victim, a Class 8 student, was reportedly lured by the main accused, Moynal Haque, a married man known to her, to a secluded paddy field where she was subsequently gang-raped by Haque and three other accomplices. Rescued in critical condition the following morning, a medical examination confirmed she was assaulted by multiple perpetrators

Guwahati: Gang rape of a minor Hindu girl by Islamist shaken Dubri district as well as the state of Assam.  A 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by four men in the Bilashipara town in Dhubri district on November 27. As per report the class 8 minor girl was lured by the main accused Moynal Haque, a married man from ward 7 of the town, took her to the nearby paddy field.

Accused Moynal said that he will buy something for her from the shops behind the paddy field. The accused was known to the minor victim and so she went with the culprit without any hesitation. After that the minor victim was allegedly gang-raped by Moynal and three other Islamists.

The victim was later rescued by locals in critical condition on 28th morning and immediately admitted to the local hospital. It was confirmed from the medical examination that the girl was raped by more than one man. The victim’s family lodged an FIR in Bilasipara police station. The victim later informed the police in her statement that Moynal and three other person raped her.

Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the Islamist for the brutal act. The main accused Moynal Haque and the other accused are still at large. Local organisations are agitating in Bilasipara as police have not been able to arrest any of the perpetrators after one week of the heinous crime even though the victim’s family lodged a complaint with the Bilasipara police station on the same day.  Police have registered a case under Section 372/25 and 65(1) /70(2) / 127(2) / 137(2) / BNS R/W Sec 4 of POCSO Act on the basis of the complaint.

Bilasipara district of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have announced protests on the streets if the police do not arrest the culprits within the next 24 hours. The victim’s family demanded the Chief Minister’s intervention in the incident and the death penalty for the perpetrators. Top sources in the home department in Dispur told ‘Organiser Weekly’ that police were instructed to start a manhunt to nab the accused as soon as possible. As of now a team of Dhubri police crime branch has given the task to search for the absconding accused Islamist. Police sources said that a manhunt operation has been launched by the police and very soon the perpetrators will be in police custody.
