Dantewada: In yet another tragic incident, Maoists have brutally murdered a villager in Dantewada’s Aranpur area on late Tuesday night February 4, said police.
The terrifying incident took place in Kakadi village under Maoist-hit Aranpur police station limits, sending shockwaves across Aranpur and adjoining localities.
A group of Maoists reached Kakadi village on late Tuesday night and barged into the house of Harma Hemla. The ultras dragged the said villager to the nearby forest area where they killed him by slitting his throat subsequently.
An investigation into the gruesome murder was launched following the authorities received information about the incident from the villagers. It was learnt that the extremists have alleged Hemla to being an informer of the police.

The incident marks third such incident of targeted killing of civilians in violence-hit Bastar division of the State in the past 48 hours, highlighting the chilling reality of pockets dominated by the banned group.
Notably two villagers were murdered by armed men of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) in Budgicheru village under Tarrem police limits of Bijapur on February 3. The slain civilians were identified as Raju Karrem, a resident of Talabpara and Madavi Munna a resident of Nayapara.
According to the details, the extremists brutally murdered Karrem and Munna by slitting their throats with sharp edged weapons, accusing both of them for working as informers of the police.

In another incident, members of banned group barged into the house of a 41-year-old villager in Keshmundi village on night of January 26. The ultras dragged Bhadru Sodhi out of his house and subsequently hacked him to death with sharp edged weapons, alleging him for espionage activities.
Maoists executed a 48-years-old villager in Hallur village under Miratur police station limits of Bijapur on January 16. The slain individual was identified as Sukku Hapka, who was abducted from his house and paraded before a Jan Adalat, a self-styled public court run by the outlaws.
Hapka was later strangled to death on similar charges of espionage. In a note recovered near Hapka’s body, the Bhairamgarh Area Committee of the banned group claimed responsibility of the gruesome murder.
