The November 24 Sambhal violence was not just a run of the mill incident. It was part of a larger conspiracy aimed at disrupting communal harmony and trying to ensure that it spreads across the country.
Investigations have found that there is a Dawood Ibrahim link to the incident. This came to light after the police learnt that the violence was masterminded by one Shariq Satha who is a native of Western Uttar Pradesh but settled in the UAE.
The Dawood link
Satha who is being called the mastermind of the violence is linked to Dawood Ibrahim, the fugitive don and terrorist living in Pakistan. Shariq Satha has 54 cases registered against him in Sambhal and nearby areas. In 2020 he was released on bail following which he fled to Dubai on a fake passport.
He has shared close ties with Dawood and is one of his point persons in Uttar Pradesh. The Pakistan ISI link too has come up in this case after Pakistan and USA made bullets were found near the Mosque.
Investigators say that Shariq did not act on his own, but followed a script drafted by his masters. The ISI has been looking to create trouble in Bharat and will continue to use every possible event to further their agenda.
Violence broke out in Sambhal on November 24 during a court-directed survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid. Five people died in the violence while many police personnel were injured.
The larger agenda
A Uttar Pradesh police official told Organiser that this incident is clearly a part of a larger conspiracy. It was not directed against the Hindus in Sambhal alone. The idea was to try and make it spread across the country and target as many Hindus as possible, the official also said.
The revelation into the Sambhal case comes at a time when the Intelligence Bureau warned about the Dawood Ibrahim gang trying to make a comeback. The D-Gang had already been tasked with creating communal tensions in the country.
This ploy by Dawood and the ISI began in 2015 when a module was activated in Gujarat. At that time Dawood had tasked one Zahidmiya Shaikh to undertake the killings of BJP leader Pranesh Mistry and Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Shirish Bengal. The intention was to target as many Hindu leaders as possible in a bid to burn Bharat on communal lines.
The Sambhal violence is very much on the lines of what Dawood and the ISI had planned in 2015. The Intelligence agencies say that one could expect more such acts in various other places in the days the come.
While in 2015, they tried to make their playground in Gujarat, this time around it is in Uttar Pradesh.
The ISI has not only used Dawood to execute its plans. It has also been using the Khalistan forces to undertake similar acts. A few years back one had witnessed a spate of killings of Hindu leaders in Punjab. This was the ISI’s ploy and to execute the same, it deployed the Khalistan terrorists. Investigations into those attacks also signalled a clear agenda by the ISI to target Hindus and create a communal divide.
While in UP and Gujarat the aim was to create a divide between the Hindus and Muslims, in Punjab the agenda was to divide the Sikhs and Hindus.
Further the Dawood modules have also been activated in Maharashtra. The agencies say that such acts will be played out more in the BJP ruled state with the intention of giving the party a bad name and trying to indicate that it is anti-Muslim. A module in Yavatmal is under the radar of the agencies as some members have been tasked with inciting communal tensions.
The ISI would look to carry out such acts in large numbers owing to their frustration in Jammu and Kashmir. The ISI and Pakistan establishment has realised that things have not shaped up exactly as they would have wanted it in J&K. Hence the ISI would like to spread its agenda in other parts of the country.
In the wake of these developments, the police forces have been told to remain on very high alert as more such attempts by the ISI and its stooges would be made to disrupt peace in Bharat.
