In response to the systematic and brutal attacks on Hindus by the Islamist government in Bangladesh, as well as the arrest of ISKCON Sadhu Chinmoy Krishna Das, various Hindu organisations have organised protests and marches throughout Odisha. These demonstrations are taking place not only at district headquarters but also in smaller towns and regions.

Protesters are voicing their opposition to the Yunis government of Bangladesh and submitting memorandums addressed to the President and Prime Minister through local administrative officials. The movement continues to gain momentum across the state.

Bhadrak : Protest Against the Persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh

On Friday, the Hindu Surakshya Manch of Bhadrak submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister, protesting the brutal attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh and the arrest of ISKCON Sadhu Chinmoy Krishna Das.

A large motorcycle rally was organised from the Dakshineswari Kali Temple, passing through Charampa Station Market and Bypass Kacheri Chowk, before finally reaching the Bhadrak District Collector’s office. There, a meeting was held under the leadership of Shashank Shekhar Samal.

The meeting included various leaders such as Manas Mahanti, ISKCON’s Tejaswi Gaur Das, Durga Vahini state coordinator Sipra Raut, Vishva Hindu Parishad district secretary Basant Raut, and social worker Purna Chandra Pani. They expressed that Hindus in Bangladesh have faced atrocities for years. While Hindus constituted 24 per cent of the population in 1947, their numbers have now dwindled to just 6 per cent. Terrorist organisations like Jamaat-e-Ul-Mujahideen and Jamaat-e-Islami are specifically targeting Hindus. Since Sheikh Hasina’s removal from power in August, thousands of Hindus have been attacked, murdered, and raped.

Furthermore, ISKCON Sadhu Chinmoy Krishna Das, along with his secretary and priests Keshav Das and Shyam Sundar Das, has also been arrested. Media and legal representatives are being barred from assisting in their cases. While prominent lawyers in India are available to defend terrorists like Kasab, the Sadhus in Bangladesh struggle to find legal representation. Consequently, there was a call to pressure the Indian government to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh and to secure the release of the ISKCON Sadhus.

After the meeting, a delegation of senior organisers led by Vijay Bhushan Nayak, including representatives such as Sharat Parihari, Sanjay Raut, Lakshmikant Mishra, Jyotiranjan Sahu, Madhusmita Mahapatra, meeting head Prasanna Shadangi, and Manas Mahanti, met with the District Collector and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister.

Kendujhar : Hindu Suraksha Manch Holds Massive Rally for the Protection of Hindus in Bangladesh

Responding to a call from the Kendujhar district unit of the Hindu Suraksha Manch, a significant protest rally was held today near Kali Padiya in Kendujhar Town. Thousands of Hindu activists rallied, chanting slogans against the inhumane atrocities being inflicted upon Hindus in Bangladesh, and issued a warning to the Bangladeshi government. The rally was led by Ghanshyam Mahant, the district coordinator of the forum.

The procession commenced at Kali Padiya, traversed the city, and concluded in front of the District Collector’s office, where protesters called on the Indian government to take action to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. A delegation met with the District Collector and Superintendent of Police to submit a memorandum outlining their demands.

Speakers at the event expressed concern that the lack of unity among Hindus worldwide and their excessive tolerance have rendered them vulnerable to attacks by Islamists. They noted that fifty years after Bangladesh’s independence, the country is now witnessing a massacre of Hindus. Minority Hindus in Bangladesh are experiencing oppression, with temples being destroyed and Sadhus imprisoned on charges such as treason.

However, there is encouraging news: Hindus in Bangladesh are awakening. Under the leadership of ISKCON Sadhu Swami Chinmoy Prabhu, they are organising protests and moving away from misguided notions of brotherhood. To offer moral support and draw global attention, the Hindu Suraksha Manch is organising protest meetings across India.

The event saw participation from various Hindu organisations, supporters, and leaders from different sects. Workers from several groups, including the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagriti Manch, ISKCON family, Gayatri Parivar, Mahima Samaj, BMS, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, ABVP, and Ekal Vidyalaya, took part in the rally.

During the protest, participants voiced their opposition to the arrest and imprisonment of Chinmay Prabhu, who has been falsely accused of sedition for advocating the protection of the fundamental rights of Hindus in Bangladesh.

The protesters demanded an immediate end to the persecution of Hindus in rural areas of Bangladesh. The Hindu Suraksha Manch warned that their agitation would continue until strict action is taken against the perpetrators of these atrocities.

Baripada: Hindu Suraksha Manch Rally Against Atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh

In response to recent incidents of looting, arson, murder, rape, attacks on temples, and the burning of Lord Jagannath’s idol targeting Hindus in Bangladesh, as well as the unjust arrest of Swami Chinmay Krishna Das, the Hindu Suraksha Manch organised a significant rally on Thursday in Baripada, the district headquarters of Mayurbhanj.

Following the rally, the Manch convened in front of the District Collector’s office. After the assembly, a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister was submitted to Additional District Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak.

Khurda: Hindu Suraksha Manch Submits Memorandum to District Collector Protesting Atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh

In response to the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh, the Khurda Hindu Suraksha Manch organised a rally from Khurda Geeta Bhavan to the District Collector’s office. Hundreds of Manch members participated in the demonstration, where a memorandum addressed to the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister was submitted through the District Collector, demanding immediate action to halt the persecution of Hindus.

Members of the Hindu Suraksha Manch emphasised that since its separation from India, Bangladesh has benefited from Indian support for its progress. However, attacks on Hindus have now become widespread. Currently, Hindu women, temples, and the community as a whole are being targeted in Bangladesh.

The protest condemned the oppression of minority Hindus, the looting of their businesses, the insecurity faced by women, and the systematic targeting of the Hindu community. The Manch called for the protection of Hindu traditions, the security of temples, and immediate social and political action to stop these atrocities.

Through the memorandum, the Prime Minister was urged to address this serious issue and ensure the safety and security of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

Rourkela: Western Odisha Hindu Suraksha Manch Submits Memorandum to President Protesting Atrocities Against Hindus in Bangladesh

Recent inhumane acts and persecution of Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh have ignited widespread protests across Odisha.

In Rourkela, the Western Odisha Hindu Suraksha Manch organised a protest under its banner. The demonstration addressed various concerns, including the imprisonment of the head of the ISKCON temple, Sadhu Chinmay Krishna Das, who faces sedition charges under the current political regime in Bangladesh. Protesters condemned the persecution of the Hindu minority community, including violence against women, mass rapes, vandalism of Hindu temples, looting, forced shutdowns of Hindu businesses, and the confiscation of their properties. Hindus in government positions are being pressured to resign, and their properties are being forcibly occupied, instilling fear in the community.

The ongoing oppression in Bangladesh has prompted Indian investors and entrepreneurs to withdraw, underscoring the failure of the Yunus-led government to provide security for its Hindu population. This situation is also affecting India’s border states, such as West Bengal, Manipur, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, posing a threat to India’s internal security.

The memorandum demanded immediate action from the Indian government and global human rights organisations to halt the atrocities and persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. It also called for intervention from the United Nations Human Rights Commission to ensure the safety of Hindus in the country. Additionally, the memorandum urged for the release of ISKCON temple priest Chinmay Krishna Das from Bangladeshi custody.

The rally, organised by the Hindu Suraksha Manch, began at Birsa Chowk in Rourkela .

The memorandum was submitted to Rourkela Additional District Magistrate and Municipal Commissioner Ashutosh Kulkarni for forwarding to the President.

In response to the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, the Hindu Jagran Manch of Koraput submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the District Collector. A procession was organised, starting from the RTO Ground in Koraput and concluding at the District Collector’s office.

The Hindu Jagran Manch highlighted the presence of thousands of Bangladeshi infiltrators residing in Koraput district and demanded their immediate identification. They also called for the termination of government facilities and opportunities being availed by these infiltrators. Many of these individuals have increased their presence in various villages within the district, and a significant number have been implicated in activities such as theft, robbery, and the stealing of Hindu deities’ idols.

The Manch alleged that some individuals, for their personal gain, are encouraging these anti-national elements. They urged the administration to take stringent measures against such individuals. A representative of the Manch, Babubhai Bajrangi, emphasised the need for decisive action by the authorities on these issues.

The procession saw participation from over 2,000 people across 14 blocks of Koraput district. In their addresses, the sadhus highlighted the alarming situation in Bangladesh, where Hindu women are subjected to brutal violence and murder, Hindu monasteries and temples are being destroyed, and infiltrators from Bangladesh are engaged in terrorist activities across various regions of India.
