Himachal Pradesh Floods: Sewa Bharti volunteers join frontline workers in rescue efforts

Recently, the devastating natural calamity that struck the districts of Rampur, Mandi, and Kullu in Himachal Pradesh severely affected the lives of the local residents. In this challenging time, Sewa Bharati volunteers stepped forward to provide much-needed assistance. Over 40 volunteers reached the disaster-stricken areas to distribute relief materials to the people in need.

In the wake of the devastating floods that ravaged Himachal Pradesh, countless families found their lives turned upside down. As the waters receded, what remained were scenes of destruction and despair. But in the midst of this chaos, Sewa Bharati volunteers emerged as beacons of hope, extending a helping hand to those in need.

The affected families, many of whom had lost almost everything, were provided with essential supplies—food to nourish their weary bodies, blankets to shield them from the cold, and bedding to offer some semblance of comfort in their darkest hours. Yet, the volunteers’ efforts did not stop there.

With unwavering commitment, Sewa Bharati volunteers ventured into the heart of the disaster zones. They rolled up their sleeves, joining forces with the local administration to clear debris-strewn roads, drain stagnant waters, and construct temporary shelters for the displaced. In past disasters, such as floods in Kerala, Uttarakhand, and other regions, RSS volunteers have consistently provided assistance by organising relief camps, distributing essential supplies, and helping with rehabilitation and reconstruction activities. Their commitment to serving society, especially in times of crisis, has earned them widespread recognition and appreciation.
