Bangladesh was formed after a tough fight given by Indian Army with active assistance of Mukti Vahini,a Bangla Rebel Outfit, against Pak Occupation Army in erstwhile East Pakistan. There were other Freedom Fighters too who assisted Indian Army in this arduous task. Once Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his Awami League assumed power in March, 1972, his Government reserved 30 per cent Seats in Educational Institutions and Government Jobs for Family Members of Ex Servicemen/ Veterans who laid down their lives while fighting for liberation of Bangladesh. This arrangement continued smoothly till abrogated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself in 2018. Freedom Fighters approached Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2019.The case was dormant till January,24 when Supreme Court suddenly nullified Government Order of 2018. Government of recently ousted PM Sheikh Hasina resorted to immediate implementation of Supreme Court Orders which was contested/opposed by most Student Unions in Bangladesh and then the trouble started.
As on date, Bangladesh had 40 per cent Unemployed Youth.Rising Inflation and ever increasing Unemployment forced large numbers of Young People to come to streets. They were advocating adoption of the Merit Based System and immediate Roll Back of Quota Reservation Orders. Government of the day was dethering from initiating any action lest it alianet Veteran Group. Every passing day saw rising anger on the street as people were sure that, this Quota System which led to Discrimination and Corruption in past, may well repeat now also. That is when Outside Forces jumped in the Ring.
American Under Secretary Victoria Nuland came on visit to Bangladesh in March,24 wherein, she met with number of Civil and Business Leaders. Then onwards, the situation in Bangladesh started deteriorating at a rapid pace. Analyst are sure of American Investment in fuelling riots together with China and Pakistan, as every one of them was keen on ouster of Sheikh Hasina/Awami League Government as they not allow any CIA footprint on Bangladesh Soil.
Sheikh Hasina had visited China in January,24 but returned a day early. Reason being,few Mega Projects which were of much interest to China were given to India and Sheikh Hasina did not give in to vociferous Chinese Demand of cancellation of deal with India in favour of China. This annoyed President Xi Jin Ping who backed away from his promise of Financial Support to Bangladesh.Earlier; China had organised/supported couple of Student Protest Movement in Bangladesh. As early as April, 2023 she orchestrated A Students Protest in Dhaka Press Club to pressurise Sheikh Hasina to increase the number of Bangladeshi Students to China. In fact; Chinese Embassy had deliberately stopped giving visas but put the blame of “Capping number of students on Sheikh Hasina Government”.This led to massive unrest and Chinese Intelligence Agency,MSS,got its first dose of success.Chinese interest in Bangladesh rests on her ever increasing Paucity of Fertile Land and fast decreasing level of Ground Water.
Therefore, she wants Bangladesh under her control to utilise Bangla Land Resources for suppling her Staple Diet,Rice.
Pakistan ISI wants to remove all references of rape induced mayhem on Bangladeshi women by Pak Army in 1971 Liberation War and Thousands of years old, Ancient Heritage Sites/Monuments there because Fundamentalists call it “Harams”. Pak sponsored Fundamentalists in Bangladesh described departure of Sheikh Hasina as a “Democratic Takeover and Liberation”. This is the ultimate victory for Pakistan. Bangladesh was not liberated on 05 August 2024 as claimed; instead, it has been put under shackles of Islamic Terrorism, Communal Hatred, Discrimination, Anarchy, and Destruction.,It is Success Sign of Pan Islamic Revisionism being orchestrated in Asia.Destruction of non Muslim Structures objectionable on Islamic Grounds denotes take over by Islamic Fundamentalists. Banga bandhu Museum has been destroyed, Residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rehman is Burned to Ashes,Statue of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman broken by hammering with an axe and History and Identity of Bangladesh is being wiped out. India with over 24 crore Muslim Population has to keep this aspect in mind.
American CIA,Chinese MMS and Pakistani ISI had been interfering in Foreign Countries by infiltrating Colleges and Student Unions. Harvard University in America, and Five Colleges in Yunnan,China teach in Hindi/Bangla language. Pakistan is well versed with these languages. Large numbers of Indian/Bangladeshi students study in America and China. While on campus,they are recruited by CIA/MSS to work as their Agents and turn against their own Government.This time,it paid of in Bangladesh.Both America and China want control of Chittagong Port in Bangladesh to have control over Bay of Bengal and keep a tab on Indian Missile Program at Sriharikota. If America gets control of Chittagong Port, Chinese Oil Pipeline from Sittwe in Myanmar to Kunming in China passing through Chin Area gets under her observation/ control. Also, this 12 Sq Km area can be used by the CIA as its Missile Launch Pad.
Sequence of Events : a) Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Quits as Army takes over amid Massive Protests wherein 300 person lost their lives; b) Foreign Minister S Jaishankar meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Sheikh Hasina flees Bangladesh after Army Takeover; c) Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman took charge of Bangladesh; d) National Security Advisor Ajit Doval meets Sheikh Hasina at Hindon Air Base; e) Sheikh Hasina fled her Dhaka residence shortly before it was overrun and landed at the Hindon Air Force Base in Uttar Pradesh.She arrived in a Bangladesh Air Force C-130 Air Craft. Her future destination is not known as yet.She may fly to London to seek Political Asylum; f) Border Security Force is on high alert on Indo Bangla Border.India shares 4,096 km border with Bangladesh, across which travel has been stopped; the Railways and miAir India have cancelled trains and flights; g) Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman said the military will form an “Interim Government” and urged protesters to stand down; h) Chaos erupted this morning after protesters stormed Gonobhaban, Prime Ministerial Residence in Dhaka.By then Sheikh Hasina had fled along with her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana in a military helicopter; j) 100 people were killed and over 1,000 injured in clashes that took place between police and protesters on Sunday,05 July,2024. Protest escalated dramatically over the past few days after a pitched battle between students and police; k) Sheikh Hasina flew from Dhaka to Agartala and then to Hindon Air Base near Delhi.Since her relatives are in Britain,she probably wanted to take Political Asylum there.Britain, however,has conveyed her inability politely. America has cancelled her visa.She is still in India while writing this piece; l) Reportedly, President Shahabuddin has dissolved Bangladesh Parliament.BNP Chief Khaleda Zia has been released from Jail. London based Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus has agreed to head the Coalition Government. Formation of a coalition Government by Jamaat e Islami, Bangladesh National Party and Jatiyatabadi Party would be harmful as all three of them including Mohammad Yunus and Khaleda Zia are not only rabid anti India, but are Pro-Pakistan & Pro-China, thus queering the pitch for Foreign Policy and Security Concerns of India; m) Indian Government has given very guarded reaction and has accordingly briefed Parliament and Heads of Opposition Parties. Most Netas and Printed Media have expressed soberly on the event. Couple of Leaders have said that the same fate awaits Modi and his Government.On the other hand,the way discussions on Electronic Media are being conducted, reflects poorly on depth of knowledge of both Anchors and Participants. n) Events in Bangladesh,as on date,are akin to Sri Lankan Events of 2015 including vandalism of the Presidential Palace. Both are “an offshoot of the Arab Spring of Student’s Protest” culminating into a well orchestrated Anti Government Protest with a Change in Regime. Clearly, Islamic Fundamentalists were very much active in Bangladesh over years and have ultimately taken over Bangladesh.
Student Unrest against the Quota System, has been taken over by likes of Jamaat e Islami,Jatio Party and Bangladesh Nationalist Party fuelling widespread Chaos and Destruction.
India has to learn a lot from this event. a) She faced similar situation in the form of Opposition Sponsored First Farmer Agitation in 2023. Government wisely responded and withdrew Farm Laws thereby providing it a Humane Touch. In fact, agitator’s demands had no relation to Farm Laws which proved to be Achilles Heel of the agitation; b) That agitation had all ingredients of Arab Spring, with Tractors zooming on Delhi Streets and hoisting of Khalsa Flag on Rampant of Red Fort; c) Opposition Sponsored Second Edition of Farmer Agitation in April 24 was confined to Punjab with Tactical Sealing of Punjab Delhi Borders effectively. But;it may not be that easy if the Opposition decides to launch the Third Round of Agitation; d) Things are hotting up on NEET Front, Constitution has given 10 per cent Reservation to Minorities for First Ten years which is being routinely extended,That 10 per cent has gone over 50 per cent in all States, Some States have exceeded that also, Supreme Court has paid down limits of “Creamy Layer” which is ignored vehemently, Anger is boiling over Reservation Quota,Unemployment is on the rise, Faulty construction of New Parliament House and Ram Mandir at Ayodhya are under scanner, cases of Rampant Bribery are surfacing regularly, Opposition is trying to fan unrest by wrong canvassing of Agni Veer Recruitment System for Defence Forces; e) All this is being done with Sole Aim to remove Modi Government.Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus has warned that agitation by Muslim Reformists will definitely spill over in neighbouring countries.It was a open hint to Indian Government.With JeI(I), IM, PFI, LeT, JeM, SIMI and various other small Muslim outfits active in India; Government has to carefully observe the situation act accordingly; f) There is careful orchestration of Battle Field against Present Establishment. America, China, Pakistan and host of other rivals are gunning for/baying for Blood of Indian Government.It is therefore pertinent that people avoid this Trap which would certainly rekindle utter Chaos and Anarchy; g) To activate this Trap,this Trio of Nations have to ensure that Indian Defence Forces are moved away from her borders to the hinterland. Hence creation of unrest in Jammu, Punjab and North East with active fermentation of Domestic Disturbances.Indian Assets of this Trio have been activated to start Domestic Disturbances. India has checkmated China all along the Northern Border specially in Eastern Ladakh. So,she instigated Pak ISI to create Proxy Mayhem in Jammu Region so as to compell India to relocate her Troops on Northern Border for redeployment in Jammu Region. She has reignited North Eastern States, specially Manipur. h) Government will have to rely on Army sooner or later.
I have operated in erstwhile East Pakistan from end April till First Week of December 1971 as part of SSF with Mukti Vahini. I lost many of my colleagues in this War. Some even died in my arms.This is a sad day for us Veterance, who actively fought 1971 War in Eastern Theatre to see such disgraceful ouster of Sheik Hasina and to watch Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman’s Statue being broken and vandalised. Is it to see this day, that our Soldiers shed their blood & sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Bangladesh?
