Trump Assassination Attempt: A banana republic?

In the evening of July 13, 2024, Presidential candidate Donald Trump was speaking at a rally at the Butler Farm Show Grounds in Butler, Pennsylvania. There were thousands of supporters at the event and ostensibly the area should have been secured by the Secret Service.

Just because the assassination was unsuccessful because of a last second tilt of the head, the liberal media got a license to underplay the ghastly act and explain it as some “noisy event.” NBC, the leading liberal media channel reported “Former President Trump was rushed off stage after popping noises that sounded like gunshots were heard at his Pennsylvania rally” in its X post. Anyone who was at the venue saw Trump’s ear pierced and bleeding profusely. Within minutes, the fact of about one death and critical injuries were also known.

Yet, the only thing that NBC registered was the “popping noises”. Nothing more. The Washington Post reporting gave the impression of how the former President left after hearing some “noise” – “Trump leaves rally after loud noises erupt”. Never mind the bleeding! The one headline which stood out for its unbelievably dishonest editorship was from the Boston Herald. It called the whole thing “apparent gunfire” while featuring Trump’s iconic photo with his face bloodied and fist held up.

Was the blood “apparent” too? How else could someone get his ear shot off and have a bloody face if not for real gunfire?

Amateur and independent vloggers visited places in the liberal state of California to get the reactions on the assassination attempt.

One statement stood out.

“It was staged.”

Given the precision, the timing, the velocity of the bullet and the angle of the head, it will be obvious to any objective mind that “staging” it would be humanly impossible. If any human being went in to “stage” such a scenario, he must have a strong suicidal wish. Irrespective of what one thinks of President Donald Trump as a person, the objective reality of the dastardly act cannot be explained away. It is a miracle that the man is still alive.

Dereliction of duty by the Secret Service, if not collaboration in the act, and free passage to a suspicious character who was surveying the area with a range finder and carrying a backpack show that the administration and law enforcement were far too compromised. The mockery of journalistic and reporting standards, almost on a cue with “loud noise” being the common characterization across all liberal newsrooms for a breaking news, suggest that at least the post-act communication was coordinated. The odds of so many editors coming up with the same semantics are otherwise quite low given the urgency of the newsbreak of that proportion. When the democratic norms in a nation allow for assassination of an opponent, then the society’s claim to ideals like “Free World” and “Rules Based

Order” seem hollow at best.

On July 13, one found it hard to discern where the erstwhile United States dissolved and a Pakistani “free-for-all” order emerged in the country. Where assassinations is the strategy of choice for victory in elections.
