Arun Yogiraj, the master sculptor behind the divine murti, expressed his astonishment and deep connection with the divine as he observed the sacred moment unfold. “Lalla looked completely different. I thought to myself that this was not my work. Bhagwan Ram had completely transformed after the Alanakaran ceremony,” Yogiraj recounted, capturing the essence of a moment that transcended the realm of artistic creation.

The sculptor, known for his exceptional craftsmanship, had devoted countless hours to chisel and shape the murti of Bhagwan Ram, destined for the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. However, it was the sacred Alanakaran ceremony that brought forth a spiritual metamorphosis, leaving Yogiraj in awe of the divine presence.

Yogiraj shared the profound impact of the ceremony on his perception of the murti he had sculpted with unwavering dedication. “As an artist, I poured my heart and soul into creating the idol. Yet, witnessing the transformation during the Alanakaran ceremony, I felt a divine energy, as if Lord Ram himself had infused the idol with life,” he expressed.

The Alanakaran ceremony, a significant ritual in Hindu traditions, involves adorning the deity with various ornaments, symbolising the embellishment of the divine form. Yogiraj’s account adds a unique dimension to the artistic process, elevating it beyond craftsmanship to a spiritual connection with the divine.

Reflecting on the transformative experience, Yogiraj emphasised that the murti seemed to exude a different radiance and presence, transcending the physical boundaries of the sculpted form. “It was as if Bhagwan Ram, pleased with the ceremony, revealed a new aspect of himself through the idol,” he remarked, capturing the mystical essence of the moment.

The sculptor’s revelation adds a spiritual depth to the ongoing journey of the Ram construction in Ayodhya, resonating with the sentiments of millions who await the completion of this sacred abode. The Alanakaran ceremony, which breathed life into the idol of Bhagwan Ram, stands as a testament to the confluence of artistry and spirituality in the creation of this divine symbol.

As the news of Yogiraj’s spiritual encounter spreads, it adds a layer of mystique to the unfolding narrative of the Ram Mandir , inviting contemplation on the divine presence within the artistic expressions that shape sacred spaces. Yogiraj’s account serves as a poignant reminder that, beyond the sculptor’s skillful hands, there exists a spiritual connection that transforms a crafted idol into a vessel for the divine.
