BBC known to for its anti-India news too lauds Chandrayaan’s success

BBC has most of the time been loggerheads with the present incumbent government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the past the authorities had conducted survey at BBC offices as it was allegedly reported that they were involved in some kind of tax evasion activity.

However, today when Indian Space Research Organisation created history, BBC too mentioned on its website that India has created history.

Headlines on BBC’s website about India’s succesful space programme

Another international news website “The Guardian” in its headline had said,” India Lands spacecraft near south pole of moon in world first.” In the past “The Guardian” had always been known to report negative about India, its policies and always tried to portray India in bad light to the world. Whether it was India’s handling of the Covid 19 situation or India’s economic situation, the Guardian was known to negatively show to the world about India.

Apart from the international news websites, NASA too comngratulated India on the success of the Chandrayaan 3 mission. Bill Nelson is the Ranking Member on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and is known as the leading space program advocate in the US Congress took to twitter to congratulate ISRO.

Congratulations @isro on your successful  Chandrayaan-3 lunar South Pole landing! And congratulations to #India on being the 4th country to successfully soft-land a spacecraft on the Moon. We’re glad to be your partner on this mission! https://t.co/UJArS7gsTv

— Bill Nelson (@SenBillNelson) August 23, 2023

The countdown of the Vikram hovered at 150 metres, then 130 metres, and 50 metres and decelerated as approached the moon’s service before finally touching down on the lunar surface.
As the Vikram lander carrying the Pragyaan rover in its belly touched down on the lunar surface, it marked a giant leap in India’s spacefaring journey providing a well-deserved finale to ISRO’s long years of toil.

This makes India the fourth country – after the US, China, and Russia – to have successfully landed on the moon’s surface, it has earned a place in record books as the first to touchdown on the south side of Earth’s only natural satellite.
