Bihar: ‘Muslims throw pieces of cow meat, excreta in balcony to throw me out of house,’ elderly woman shares her pain

An emotional video of an elderly woman in her mid-sixties is getting viral on social media. In the video, the woman complains about Muslim residents in her colony’s wing harassing and almost thrashing her for not leaving the flat. She alleged that to hurt her religious sentiments, they threw cow’s bone, meat and sometimes human excreta on her balcony.

The woman, identified as Kiran Singh is a resident of high tech callus apartment block-B, flat number-202 of Bihar’s Begusarai district. She has named one Mohammad Sultan and his family of harassing her the most.

As per the complaint letter Kiran stated that she is a retired government servant and lives alone in her flat. All of her children stay in different cities. The colony she lives in mostly resides Muslim families and in her wing, she is the only Hindu living right now.

Mohammad Sultan, son of Mohammad Suleman lived in flat number 401, has been issuing death threats to the woman. He says, he works in the court and one of his relatives is a judge, hence, he can get the elderly woman chopped into pieces.

The families in the colony are against her staying in the flat and hence behave badly with her. Almost all the Muslim families living in the wing are a part of this conspiracy, says the letter.

As per the Mukhya Mantri Bagwani Mission scheme, Kiran has been planting saplings in pots both in her balcony as well as the terrace. On July 9, 2023, as she walked up to the terrace to get some flowers for puja, she found that, Sultan was breaking her pots with an iron rod.

After repeated requests, he did not stop and kept on breaking all the pots. When she walked further and tried to stop him, he pushed her to the floor and threatened her with dire consequences. Kiran returned to her flat and locked herself.

Kiran is a vegetarian and to hurt her religious feelings the miscreants have been throwing pieces of cow bone, meat, rat and even human excreta in her balcony. They are torturing her mentally with this.

A few months ago, the residents of the colony allegedly broke into her house and stole precious materials, including ornaments and cash. On July 10, 2023, Sultan again attacked Kiran. He threatened her, saying, “If you dare reach the police station to complain about all of this, we will get you killed”. Fearing his threats, Kiran did not go to the police station that day.

This complaint letter was submitted to the Patliputra police station on July 11. Kiran alleged that any mishap at her house, be it theft or killing, will be solely because of Sultan and his family. She has been facing this for a long time now.

Sultan says, his brother-in-law, Safdar Safa, is a judge, and hence he can easily get away with a case that may involve her killing.

BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay while sharing the video on Twitter wrote, “Respected @NitishKumar sir, Some heretics in Patna want to capture Mataji’s house and the police is not doing anything”

Another Twitter user wrote, “This is the reality of the minority being the majority, You keep doing secularism, everything is clear in front of the person, who believes what”

Another Twitter user wrote, “This is not a problem in Patna, here many ministers and MLAs have been occupying big apartments and buildings for 15 years, some for 6 years and some for eight years, sometimes they used to live as tenants in that place. In some cases, even the High Court has asked the administration to vacate. But nothing happens”

A verified Twitter user wrote, “No matter where such incidents happen in the country, action will have to be taken immediately, only then the criminals will get scared, otherwise it will continue like this, and every case will be seen from a political point of view, which is neither right for the country nor for any state”

As of now, no official statement in this regard has been issued by the police.
