Amid Pakistan crisis, a Hindu man beheaded in Sindh Province

On May 9, the paramilitary forces arrested former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan from outside the Islamabad High Court. Massive protests followed his arrest and the military has been called to take control of the situation.

In such tough times, a Hindu Bheel man was slain to death by miscreants. The severed body of 50-year-old Amlakh Bheel was recovered from the Shahdadpur village of the Sanghar District of the Sindh province.

The relatives of the deceased are protesting for the arrest of the accused The police hold an investigation into the case. So far the family has no idea who had done this to Amlakh.

As per the local media reports, Islamists targeted the man in the middle of the night. The other family members came out after they heard the screams of a man. Notably, a severed body of Amlkah was lying outside, he was beheaded. The family rushed to the nearby hospital however, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Such brutal attacks on minority Hindus including abduction, conversion, forced marriage of minor Hindu Girls, rape of women folk, extortion of money from Hindu business holders and cultivators, eviction from lands, and destruction of Hindu worship places are common phenomena in Pakistan without any check from the Govt administration or Police anyway in any manner.

Notably, back in December 2022, a similar beheading took place in the Sanghar district. In that case, a Hindu widow Daya Bheel was brutally murdered, her body was mutilated, with her breasts chopped off and was beheaded.

To date the police have not solved the case nor have they arrested any accused in the case.

Daya Bheel, belonging to the Bheel community, was gang-raped and beheaded by unidentified persons on December 26 last year. Before dumping her body in a wheat field, the perpetrators also chopped off her breasts and removed the skin from the victim’s head.

As per a report by Dawn, the police team visited Sanghar City in Sindh and collected DNA samples of the suspects for forensic examination. The cops also recovered a sickle, which is believed to be the weapon used in the murder and decapitation of the Hindu woman.

Notably, no action was taken against the accused to date.

Last week a man was killed by a mob with slogans like ‘Sar Tan see Juda..’ and Nara-e-Takbeer for allegedly comparing a PTI leader with the founder of Islam. A violent mob beat him to death and no police or administration intervened to rescue the victim.
