Former Congress president and the Nehru family scion Rahul Gandhi Friday again criticised the Union government for going ahead with the Central Vista Project.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra started the process for INR 900 crore MLAs hostel in Mumbai.
The Congress party is a coalition partner in MVA. But Rahul Gandhi has not uttered a word about it so far.

Maharashtra has been the worst affected state with Covid-19. Just a few months back, Maharashtra and Kerala were contributing more than 75 percent of the new Covid cases in the country.

The Union government had imposed a nationwide lockdown in the country in March last year. The tough step was taken to check the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Rahul Gandhi had harshly criticised Prime Minister Modi for the lockdown.

But, now he wants a nationwide lockdown.

Prime Minister Modi had made it clear that the Union government was not considering any nationwide lockdown this time.

He also requested the chief ministers to avoid lockdowns and instead opt for micro containment zones.
