The family of Jugraj Singh, who is wanted by the Delhi Police for hoisting Nishan Sahib at the Red Fort, was honoured Wednesday at an event held in the premises of Golden Temple in Amritsar.
The rioters had indulged in massive rioting and violence in Delhi on the Republic Day.
The event was organised by the Sikh Youth of Punjab. The organisers of the event gold the press it was organised in the memory of Navreet Singh who had died when his tractor overturned on January 26.
The protesting farmers’ had requested permission for a tractor rally on Republic Day which was granted to them.
But the participants diverted from the agreed route and indulged in rioting and violence.
The organisers also honoured Lakha Sidhana, another wanted in the same case.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Chief Secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami also attended the event.
