Recently, a news was spread quoting a member of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust that a time capsule will be placed around 2,000 feet underground at the Ram Temple construction site in Ayodhya. The news also claimed that the ‘time capsule’ would help anyone in the future who wishes to study the history of the Temple. Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Shri Champat Rai has said that all such news about placing a time capsule at the site is false and baseless.

In a video message posted on the trusts official handle on Twitter, Shri Champat Rai said “Some news items are being circulated which suggest that a time capsule will be placed beneath the temple construction site in Ayodhya. Any such news is fake & should not be believed.”

The fake news circulated claimed that the purported ‘time capsule’ would have details about Ayodhya and Lord Ram. It would be written on a copper plate so that future generations do not have stand in court, quoting the trust member. The member was quoted as saying that experts have been contacted to decide on the exact content to be placed in the capsule. They would also suggest on the preparation of the time capsule so that it can last for thousands of years, said the fake news.

With the official clarification from the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, the attempt to spread fake news before the commencement of Ram Mandir construction has been laid to rest.
