Jaipur: Remembering Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 103rd birth anniversary on September 25, RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal said Shri Guruji used to stress that political leaders should work in a way that it changes the definition of politics. Deendayalji worked in politics to materialise this vision of Shri Guruji. Addressing the gathering at Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Rashtriya Smarak near Dhanakya Railway Station, Shri Krishna Gopal said Gandhiji was in favour of disbanding the Congress after Independence, but the then Congress leaders were not ready for that. The great leaders like Gokhle, Ranade, Gandhi, Vinoba, Patel etc. were all visionaries, but the nation was under control of immature leaders after Independence. Communism had started expanding its tentacles. At that time Deendayalji led the political movement which was rooted in the Indian ethos. He said the BJP has emerged as a solid power because of Deendayalji.

Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh said Deendayalji joined politics not to fill the vacuum of value based politics alone, but for all round development of the country. He gave the new vision of cultural nationalism, integral humanism and Antyodaya. He raised his voice when the borders of the country were in danger. He wanted that nation should be supreme for every citizen.

In the beginning, about one dozen students were felicitated. All the dignitaries visited the Smarak and paid tribute to Deendayalji on his birth anniversary. In the morning, school children jointly recited Shri Hanuman Chalisa. Then chairman of the reception committee Prof Mohanlal Chheepa inaugurated the exhibition. RSS Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Ramesh Agrawal, Kshetra Prarcharak Shri Durgadas, Sahkshetra Pracharaks Shri Nimbaram and Shri Prakashchand and Prant Pracharak Dr Shailendra were also present.
