In yet another incident of brutal political murder executed by the CPM, RSS Ramanthali Mandal Karyavah Biju was hacked to death in Kannur

 T Satisan from Kochi
Biju (34), Ramanthali Mandal Karyavah of RSS in Payyannur, Kannur district, was brutally murdered by CPM goons on May 12, 2017. No doubt, it was a
cold-blooded killing, a carefully orchestrated one. Biju was beheaded by the cruel butchers. People of Kerala find it difficult to ignore some BJP leaders’ observation that the CPM killers got the strategic help from the party-minded policemen. There are some  convincing reasons to buttress that. First, his police protection was withdrawn four days before his murder! That fateful day Biju was returning from Mangalapuram to his native place.  Since he had a sneaking suspicion of an attempt on his life, he changed his destination and informed his close associate about it. And, he alighted from the train at the changed destination. But, the goons get the confidential information and followed him and attacked him while he was riding a motorbike. In fact, the goons’ car hit Biju and he fell down, hence the murderers got ample scope to execute their barbaric  killing. BJP leader Shobha Surendran stated that the police cyber cell might have leaked the itinerary to the killers. Biju is the 14th RSS victim since Pinarayi Vijayan’s CPM-led LDF government took over last year.
BJP state president Kummanam Rajashekharan alleged that the CPM men celebrated the killing of Biju on the streets of Payyannur. He posted its video in the social media. Pinarayi countered it saying that it did not have any authenticity hence Kummanam would have to face legal proceedings if it is proved fake. Hence, a police case has been
registered against Kummanam. Kummann has accepted the CM’s challenge.
In the meantime, Kummanam demanded  enforcement of AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) in Kannur district in view of the government’s failure to nab the CPM criminals in Kannur who are working overtime to kill the RSS –BJP workers. The CPM has sabotaged the understandings reached during the peace talks convened by the government after the last killing a few weeks ago. Even the CM has failed in reining the CPM criminals in his home district of Kannur. On the other hand, Pinarayi tells that Biju’s murder is an isolated incident.
Immediately after the statement of Kummanam, a BJP delegation led by senior leader O Rajagopal MLA met the Governor Justice P Sathasivam and submitted a
memorandum demanding to clamp AFSPA in Kannur district as police and CM have failed to control the goons of CPM. Therefore, the
memorandum requested the Governor to execute his special powers to declare the implementation  of AFSPA in Kannur.
Meanwhile, Governor P Sathasivam asked the CM Vijayan to take stringent action to restore peace in Kannur. He warned the government against the recurrence of the murders taking place in the state. The government should give assurance to the peace-loving people in this regard. Governor passed on the letter, submitted to him by the BJP delegation led by O Rajagopal, to the CM in view of the murder of Biju.
Referring to the BJP demand for the AFSPA in Kannur district, CM Vijayan said that if armed forces get power, they would resort to rape the women folk. BJP leader Shobha Surendran demanded an apology from CM for insulting the patriotic soldiers of the country.
When the adjournment motion to discuss the Kannur killing was not permitted by the Speaker, O Rajagopal staged walkout from the House. Congress-led UDF stated in the Assembly that the State Governor had lost confidence in the State Government. They said, Kannur police is controlled by the CPM.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda declared in Thiruvananthapuram that the state government cannot run away from the responsibilities of providing safety and security to the people. Union Government is seriously watching the situation in which RSS and BJP workers are being killed in the streets of Kerala.
Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudi alleged in New Delhi that the killers of Manoj got the support of officials of the state. Otherwise, they would not have got the information about the changed destination of Biju. The Minister added that the Governor is competent to take actions within the parameters of the Constitution.
And, the police have already arrested two men in
connection with the Biju murder. They are CPM men and were arrested from the CPM premises in Payyanur during a raid. Police is still trying to nab five more, they are CPM men too. It establishes the fact that CPM does not take the peace agreements seriously.

 Yuva Morcha warns CPM

Protesting against the murder of Biju, a meeting was organised under the aegis of Jan Adhikar Samiti in front of Kerala House at Jantar Mantar on May 14.
Addressing the gathering, BJP?Kerala state general
secretary Sushri Sobha Surendran came heavily down on the CPM-led LDF Government in Kerala and Chief Minister Vijayan. She said that the people who were responsible for the first political murder are being at the helm of affairs and hence such atrocity against people supporting the Nationalist ideology. Sobha urged the Governor to dispense his duty and if he fears the CM, he can quit.
Exposing the violent face of CPM in Kerala, Group of Intellectuals and Academicians (GIA) convener Adv Monica Arora reiterated the fact that Vijayan who is the present Chief Minister of Kerala was main accused in the murder the first Swayamsevak in the state, Vadikkal Ramakrishnan. She further elaborated that the increase in violence is a direct result of the spread of nationalist ideology which is increasingly denting the prospects of the Communist surge in the state of Kerala.
Yuvamorch Delhi State president Shri Sunil Yadav stressed on the hypocrite nature of Communist Parties who, talk of Freedom of Speech in JNU and kill innocent RSS workers in Kerala in the utmost brutal manner. He also reminded communist parties that BJP is ruling in majority of other states and would not let Kodiyeri Balakrishnan set a foot in Delhi. If the killing spree towards RSS-BJP workers Kerala continues, the CPM leaders will feel the organisational strength of Yuvamorcha in Delhi, he warned the leadership of CPM who are held responsible for the unending political murders in Kerala.
Reacting to the recent incident of murder, BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao, on May 12, alleged that the political murders in Kannur are planned with the connivance of Chief Minister Vijayan. CPM follows a pattern of killing at least an RSS-BJP worker  every month. The political killings have been taking place in Vijayan’s home district so, he has no moral right to continue as the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Rao added.
The RSS, in a statement issued by Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, strongly condemned the brutal murder of Biju. The Sangh alleged that with the murder of Biju, once again, the ruling party CPM has reiterated that the party is reluctant to put down arms in Kannur and support the peace initiatives. Lashing out at the Government and the State Police, Dr Vaidya said that the increased spate of murders of Swayamsevaks in Kerala under the CPM regime affirms the Government”s conspicuous role in political killings.  He also urged the police to take immediate action to bring all the murders including conspirators to light and appealed to people to protest against the continuing onslaught on basic Human Rights in Kerala.
