The living martyrs, including women and
children who survived the red-terror of CPM
bring tears of Kannur to Lutyens’ Delhi

Tearing apart the iron curtain that veiled their tears from the national mainstream so far, the bereaved daughters and mothers of Kannur visited the national capital and the Parliament last week and brought their agony and anguish to the public. During a Delhi visit that lasted over a week, a group of around twenty
victims of CPM violence shared their heart-wrenching experiences of the ongoing state-sponsored terror with various Parliamentarians and media persons. Narayani Amma, the mother of Remid, Vismaya, the daughter of Santhosh Andallur and Rajani, the wife of Ramachandran Payyannur along with other victims attended various seminars and press meets in the national capital with an aim to expose the barbaric face of the CPM that
pretends to be the vanguards of Human Rights in Lutyens” Delhi.
On April 10, the group including women and children met Ananth Kumar, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, parliamentarians like Meenakshi Lekhi, Prof. Richard Hay, Suresh Gopi, Rajendra Agarwal, Suresh Amgadi, Dr Satyapal Singh and others. Devangana, daughter of Ramachandran who was killed in Payyannur last year, asked the Union Minister whether Kannur does not come under the purview of the rule of law and the Constitution.
Talking to them, Ananth Kumar recalled he visited Kannur two decades ago. “I had come to know about the gravity of the issue some 20 years ago, when I visited the affected areas for the first time,” he said. The Government will take all possible measures to curb the violence and deliver justice to the victims. The Prime Minister has raised the matter with Kerala Chief Minister Vijayan, he assured the children.
On being asked about the purpose of the visit, one of the children reacted, “We are here not for seeking any help. We are here to demand justice, bring the Communist violence to the public domain.” Vismaya repeated the same hounding question she posed against the killers of her father, ‘Why did they kill my father?’ Sivada, whose house was shattered by CPM goons, shares her grief that she cannot even study because of the Police harassment
and bullying.
“When I visited Kannur last time, Remid was there to receive me. After a few months, when I heard the news of his murder, I was literally startled,” remembers Meenakshi Lekhi who has always stood up for the Kannur cause despite being elected from Delhi, around three thousand kilometres far from the ground zero. The tears of Kannur have now become the pain of the whole country. The BJP as a whole stands by the victims, she said.
She guaranteed that she would take up the matter with the Prime Minister. The victims also raised the complaints regarding Police atrocities. The politically biased state police force is still hounding the victims and manipulating false charges against them. They often conduct unnecessary raids. The police do not register the case against the CPM goons even if they attack the houses of the RSS-BJP workers. Sharing their grievances, the victims said that RSS-BJP workers in the region persistently faced CPM aggression and were subjected to gruesome atrocities by the CPM cadres. The MPs extended all possible support to the victims and promised to take necessary action to restore peace in the region. Prajnya Pravah national convener Shri J Nandakumar, BJP Parliamentary Party Office CEO N Venugopal, Kannur Vibhag Karyakari Sadasya KB Prajil and Kannur Zilla Sah-Karyavah Shri Sohanlal
accompanied the group.
On April 13, the team, including women and children, visited Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence. They apprised the Minister of the prevailing threat of the Police and the CPM workers. Shri Rajnath Singh assured them that the Union Government will take necessary action to put an end to the CPM
violence in Kerala. The police are
trying to sabotage a free and fair enquiry, alleges Devangana, the daughter of slain BMS leader Ramachandran. The Police overlook top-level criminal conspiracy in the case. She demanded a CBI enquiry into her father’s murder so that, she believes, justice might be delivered to her family. Talking about her father’s murder case, 11 year old Vismaya said that many of the culprits are yet to be arrested. The police are still hounding her family, she complained.
At last, on 15 April, the JNU campus which is infamous for being a hub of anti-national brigade, resounded the call for justice in solidarity with the real victims who are persecuted by the Communists for adhering to the
national cause. The seminar, organised by Ambedkar Youth Forum, unmasked the evil face of the CPM that works under the garb of the guardian angels of
humanism and Human Rights on the campus.
CPM leaders derive demonic pleasure from murders. The first victim of Communist violence in Kerala was none other than Guruji Golwalkar. By attacking the Sanghik attended by Guruji in Thiruvananthapuram in 1948, the Communist goons kick started the politics of intolerance in Kerala, said Shri J Nandakumar. He was speaking in a seminar conducted on JNU Campus on April 15. On the hit list of the CPM, CPI also finds a place. He narrated an incident that happened on Kerala University Campus a few days ago in which AISF state leader was brutally thrashed and humiliated by SFI workers for trying to hoist their flag on the campus. SFI doesn’t allow other students’ organisations to work on the University College campus which was proudly called ‘Red Fort’ by SFI and CPM. The organisation of Kanhaiya Kumar is also a victim of CPM violence but they cannot raise it at the national level because of political reasons, Shri J Nandakumar said.
“What is going on in Kerala is not a CPM-RSS conflict, as propagated by a minority of biased media. The CPM has so far butchered over 44 Congress workers and many CPI workers in the state. It is only attacks by the CPM against their political opponents. It is the CPM vs the rest,” Shri J Nandakumar added. Dr Budha Singh, Kannur Zilla Sah Karyavah Sohanala also spoke in the seminar.
On the same day, RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dr Krishnagopal and Shri J Nandakumar briefed the media and expressed concerns over the growing CPM violence in Kerala against RSS workers.
