The potential in space commerce across the world for India is evident from the recent strides achieved by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).The successful launch of 20 satellites in June 2016, brought the country’s space commerce to the level of global competitors such as the United States of America, Russia and China. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C34, launched from Sriharikota, carried 727.5 kg Cartosat -2 series satellite for earth observation and 19 other co-passenger satellites. This included 13 satellites from the US, two from Canada, one each from Germany and Indonesia. It clearly shows that India has become a reliable global launching station for the advanced nations like the US and Germany. The last mission was also very significant as it had two satellites developed by Indian Universities. This clearly shows that the space programmes is slowly making it into educational institutions. Undoubtedly, India has a large talent pool in space research, but the government must come up with a comprehensive legal framework to encourage private participation in space technology.

Befitting Reply

Although Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and External affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj have upped the ante, the Government must sustain the momentum it has created. I am very much impressed by Smt Sushma Swaraj’s emphatic speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which has marked the contours of India’s policy towards Pakistan, from now on. The first element of this contour is that India shall no longer be defensive, but assertive. The second is that human rights violations in Baluchistan will be an embedded part of such policy. And the third is that Pakistan
sponsored terrorism will be portrayed effectively as not just an India-specific issue, but one of the global concern. This is in keeping with the trends established back home in the last few days through Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s statements. He has promised punishment to the
perpetrators of the Uri attack, kicked off a review of the Indus Water Treaty loaded heavily in Pakistan’s favour and called for Islamabad to be exposed globally for its conducts in Baluchistan. In fact I am very much impressed by the statement of Shri Modi regarding Indus Water Treaty that, “Blood and water cannot flow together.”

Open-up the facts
(Hindu Culture – A Shield For Minorities, 21.8.2016); This refers to the article ‘Hindu Culture – A Shield For Minorities’ by Dr Ram Krishan Singh Dogra in Organiser. This is a typical case of a person who knows the facts, but is afraid of telling the truth under the pressure of so-called secularism. For example he says that “bond of co-existence has been a common sight all over India since centuries.”The fact is that it was due to terror and fear of death that the Hindus had to embrace Islam. Further he says that “The British being great strategists, under the policy of Divide and Rule, encouraged a section of Muslims to demand a separate homeland.”The fact is that it was British rule which ended cruelties of Muslims and Muslim rulers. No doubt British were able to benefit due to hatred of Muslims against Hindus, which already existed. Blaming British for Divide and Rule is part of dirty secularism to hide the crimes and sins of the Muslims. It is also a naked truth that entire Muslims of undivided India voted for Jinnah and the Muslim League in support of Pakistan during 1945-46 elections and not even a single Muslim candidate put up by Gandhi’s Congress could win elections. There it would be wrong to say that only a section of Muslims demanded Pakistan .Mr Dogra has accepted that Muslims in truncated Bharat have increased from 10 per cent in 1947 to 18 per cent now, whereas in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindus have decreased from 22.5 per cent and 31 per cent to 1.12 and 8 per cent respectively. This is very dangerous trend. Hindus would lose even truncated Bharat if de-franchising of Muslims and complete exchange of population is not done.

Baseless Talks
Rahul Gandhi during his public speeches and road shows is attacking the Prime Minister day-in and day-out   by saying that Modi has been working only in the interest of Corporates making frequent foreign trips while simultaneously working against the interest of Farmers, Dalits, Minorities and Backward Classes. Surprisingly,  Rahul Gandhi and his pseudo-comrades realise the plight of the above classes of people only when they are out of power. It is his indirect admission that the Congress/UPA maintained the plight of such classes of people though they were in power for nearly 60 years. The isolation of Pakistan globally, the global condemnation of Uri attack done by Pak terrorists, the global support for Surgical Operation carried out by the Indian troops in PoK for annihilating terrorists and the boycott of the November-meet of SAARC by most of the member countries are the fruits of foreign visits made by the Prime Minister Shri Modi. Farmers invariably use a number of  items in their day life which are principally manufactured by Corporates. Welfare of farmers and Corporate growth is necessary for developing the economy of India.

Uri, Before and After
Dastardly attack on the Indian soldiers at Uri by the terrorists who had infiltrated into the Indian territory is yet another bloody reminder that our neighbour Pakistan is not going to live like a good neighbour. It is high time for India to raise the question of atrocities in Baluchistan and elsewhere in Pakistan. Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan had come to India to seek help from the then government of Nehru who had been quite friendly with him. But Nehru did not do anything and let the innocent Baluchs go under the heels of the Fascist rulers of Pakistan. Nehru was busy placating the Muslims of India by placating Pakistan. He signed a water-sharing treaty with Pakistan which gives more than 80 per cent of water from the Indus River to Pakistan. He did not even bother to use the water for J&K whose people had demanded a fair deal on the waters flowing through their areas. For the last 65 years Bundelkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab also have been facing difficulty in irrigating their lands. But no government of the Congress or their cohorts bothered to secure reasonable share of water for them. How can Congress be called a party of patriots which it was a hundred years ago? Modiji has done the right thing by raising the Indus Water Treaty issue and thus he has given a strong signal to the enemy country that its actions will not be taken lightly. Like Gandhi, Nehru too was not far behind in placating the national enemy as is evident from the Indus Water Treaty which  parch Indian soil but irrigates the land of Pakistan. Pakistan has been threatening to use fire arms like atom bomb. We should use water bomb to parch them.
