Education : For a Successful Future


Students always confront this dilemma about the choice of the field in which they should make their career first after 12th and then after Graduation. There are so many relevant options today which promise a growing success. What is needed is the right information and direction. We are presenting information regarding some of such courses which can help in making a successful career and bright future

Disaster Management: It is a rapidly expanding field today. Whether it is the disaster in Kedarnath or earthquake in Nepal, both the incidents proved to be a catastrophe for thousands. NDRF sent its teams there. These teams also had trained paramilitary jawans. How to react to a disaster and managing the resulting crisis is the Disaster Management. In 2003, Ministry of Human Resource Development incorporated Disaster Management as a professional course.
Eligibility: Various management institutes offer certificate to PG Diploma courses in Disaster Management. If one does a certificate course then passing 12th, and for PG Diploma graduation is must.
Opportunities and Salary: Disaster Management involves opportunities in government institutes, emergency services, and multinational companies. Moreover there are great chances in Insurance sector as well. Starting salary may vary between 25 to 35 thousand rupees.
Institutes: IGNOU, National Institute of Disaster Management (Delhi), Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (Delhi), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai), International Centre of Madras University (Chennai), Disaster Management Institute (Bhopal) etc.
