Defaulting is not a mindset, it is just a reflection of systemic atrocities. The cases against Vijay Mallya, the chairman of United Breweries (UB) group, promoter of defunct Kingfisher Airlines and a Rajya Sabha member, have confirmed that if the intent is right and stature is high enough, no malicious attempt by the employees, banks or the legal system can harm a business tycoon. Even if the Debt Recovery Tribunal has put restrictions on withdrawing amount of Rs 500 crores, an astute businessman like Mallya has enough money and credibility to run the show.  The system cannot take him to task just because of allegations by 17 banks claiming Rs 9,000 crore as recovery amount from a reputed person. There is a need to defend such defaulters in human (individual) interest, which is always above national interest.
Such defence is all the more important in the realm of political and intellectual life than in the field of business. As the torchbearer of tolerance in Bharat, Nayantara Sahgal declared that Mr Modi has met his match in Kanhaiya Kumar. Certainly, the ‘JNU School of thought’ has given another mass leader to Bharat like Sitaram Yechury and as Yechury himself declared he has all the ability to solely defeat the most ‘secular’ Mamata Banerjee by spearheading the ‘Left’ campaign in the forthcoming West Bengal Assembly polls. What the likes of Rahul Gandhi, Nitish Kumar and Kejriwal found it difficult to do in a united fashion, Kanhaiya is doing singularly.
The nation is obviously impressed with the power of the youth of Left and Communists are surely emerging as the sole alternative to Modi in 2019, thanks to Kanhaiya. By declaring all soldiers deployed in Jammu & Kashmir as rapists, he has certainly captured the imagination of youth who have been victims of our armed forces during all calamities natural or manmade. What if the court has passed strictures while granting him a 6 month bail and denied the claim for fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression in organising or participation in the ‘nationalist’ JNU programme? What if the Court has considered this as a kind of infection which needs to be controlled/cured before it becomes an epidemic? The credit limit of the Communists under the patronage of trusted ally like Congress is very high and they have all the legal, intellectual and moral expertise to use the system to defeat the system. They are just being genuine to their ideological position which believes in overthrowing the system.
The greatest asset of this nation has been the Marxist historians who did not leave any stone unturned to sow divisive seeds right from the school level. Known for their unity of words and actions, they did their best to ensure that Bharat does not remain the unified nation, at least in the realm of ideas. From Bharat as conglomeration of nations to Aryan-Dravidian division to all possible sub-divisions are perpetrated in the name of ‘rights’ by the eminent minds. So what if their Commie thinking has been protector of a Qaum, both the commies and Qaumis do not believe in the concept of nation but only Qaumi brotherhood. Therefore, Romila Thapars and Harbans Mukhias are epitomes of national integration and they have every right to lecture on ‘nationalism’ which goes beyond the nation.
The problem of Modi and RSS ideology is, they want to work day and night for the people. They are not trained enough to effectively use the system for self-perpetuation. If their ideology does not allow them to use the system to defeat the system, it is not the fault of defaulters. Therefore, it is the duty of every sensible person to defend the defaulters, in turn, allowing everybody to put self-interest above the national interest.
