“The might of the Hindu society was never for destruction. It only reassures the virtuous ones. It gives inspiration to the evils to become virtuous. Shiv Shakti Sangam is a manifestation of the power of such virtuous people,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi while speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for Shiv Shakti Sangam to be organised at Village Marunji near Hinjewadi, Pune, by RSS western Maharashtra Prant. The foundation was laid by Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati of Sagar Ashram. Prant Sanghachalak Shri Nana Jadhav, Pune Mahanagar Sanghachalak Shri Bapu Ghatpande, and other RSS functionaries were also present at the occasion. The ceremony was performed by priests from deprived classes, especially the ‘Mochi’ and ‘Matang’ communities, who were trained in priesthood.
“The power of the virtuous ones stands only when the evil is finished. RSS is working to create power of the virtuous for the last 90 years. RSS is not limited now to any particular caste, particular region nor is it confined to urban areas. In fact the work of RSS has reached to all strata of the society and at all places. Youth power is the answer to all problems in the country,” Bhaiyaji added. Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati said organisation is needed to bring together the Hindu society which is divided into castes and creeds. Hence, the programmes like Shiv Shakti Sangam are need of the hour. Prant Karyavah Shri Vinayakrao Thorat said the event will be held in Pune after 1983. Swayamsevaks for the Sangam will come from seven districts of Western Maharashtra.

We wish to be a Super Nation, Not Super Power
—Bhaiyaji Joshi
“We wish to be a Super Nation, not a Super Power,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi while delivering Shrikant Joshi Memorial Lecture in Mumbai. The lecture was organised by Hindusthan Samachar Multi Lingual News Agency. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was the chief guest while noted businessman Suresh Havare was the guest of honour. The topic of lecture was ‘Idea of Integrated Development through the focus of Indian Values’.
Shri Bhaiyaji said Bharateeya value system and traditions never avoided or hated wealth creation but maintained that there should be self-control over consumption. Uncontrolled consumerism is destroying the natural resources which are limitedly available. The thinkers, intellectuals and philosophers world over are looking to Bharat and expecting us to lead the new lifestyle revolution, which will control the universal damage to mother earth, he added. Bharat now has a powerful leader at the Center who can do this, he said.
He said the path of development should be that everyone in the society is able to live happily as Bharateeya tradition does not believe in survival of the fittest and the downtrodden should die. Only traditional thinking of Bharateeya culture which prohibits excess consumption of anything, will be the guiding force to the world, Bhaiyaji added.
Shri Devendra Fadnavis said the success of “Make in India” and “Make in Maharashtra” largely depends upon the small scale and medium industries and his government would leave no stone unturned to give every required facility and provide infrastructure to the small scale sector. Big industries are dependent on small scale ancillaries and this sector may provide large scale substitute for import, he added. The CM also met a delegation of small scale industries and listened to their problems.
A souvenir of Hindusthan Samachar Make in Maharashtra edited by Shri Swanand was also released by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Shri Suresh Havare, Hindusthan Samachar president Shri Haribhau Mirasdar, trustee Shri Ravindra Sanghavi.
