VHP: World Hindu Congress

Intro: Through World Hindu Congress VHP hopes to thwart the  misconceptions in the minds of some  intellectuals about Hindu Dharma and project the true  positivity of Hindu thoughts to the world.

VHP’s World Hindu Congress has a specific purpose. Globally and nationally, for Hindu wellbeing such as Hindu issues related to social, economic, educational and Human Rights matters of Hindus. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) was founded in 1964. This year VHP is celebrating its Golden Jubilee. Past 50 years, much has happened. To care for Hindus globally and nationally the VHP has spread with great networks and people. Now globally Hindus are a formidable strength contributing in the economy, education, industry, social development of the country where they work and live.
Despite Hindu Human Rights violations in many countries like in Malaysia, Indonesia, Middle East, Pakistan, Bangla Desh, Sri Lanka etc, Hindus are known for their commitment, genius and integrity. VHP has been their rallying force since the past 50 years.
To look into the current scenario and analyse it for the future of Hindus in the fields of socio-economic aspects, education, science, issues related to women and youth, media role in it, VHP has planned World Hindu Congress in New Delhi from November 21-23, 2014. Delegates from many countries will participate in it with their views on Hindu issues. To discuss and deliberate such matters there will be 35 sessions that will be held in three days. Since this is an intellectual discussion among the renowned people from various fields, it may not exactly chart the road-map for VHP’s future activities, but there will be a healthy exchange of ideas and thoughts which is essential for any society. VHP hopes to thwart some of the misconceptions in the minds of some intellectuals about Hindu Dharma as such and project the true positivity of Hindu thoughts to the world while assuring global and national Hindus of Safety, ‘Samarasta’ (Cohesive society for all Hindus- Hindus as ONE), Security, Prosperity and Dignity.
Hindus have always been on the forefront of technological revolutions while guarding their religious identity and rich cultural heritage. VHP looks forward to a grand blend of the culture and today’s aspirations of Hindus through such conferences. VHP is planning to extend the exchange of ideas beyond World Hindu Congress to the smaller group’s discussions time to time. These groups will have representation from all walks of life from the world and Bharat.
VHP’s World Hindu Congress is one of the steps after the Mumbai meeting at Chinmay Aashram on Janmashtami 2014. To carry out VHP’s Vision 2025 with the support of RSS, sadhus ,saints and experts in many fields of life globally and nationally. VHP has organised around 600 Hindu sammelans all over Bharat this year.
There will be many more social service activities such as blood donation, eye donation apart from the already existing vast social service network of VHP such as schools, hostels, women’s self help programmes, Hindu Help Line etc. VHP is looking forward to fulfill Hindu aspirations with a new zeal and vision.
